Andy S. I have to disagree. Unless they get a terrible director, I’m pretty sure The Beaver will end up being great. Gibson, Foster and Yelchin are all extremely talented actors and the script placed very highly (honestly, I think it might have even topped) last years “Black List”, which means hollywood writers and producers feel that it is one of the very best unproduced scripts out there. Not to say that a terrible director couldn’t ruin it all, but with the type of talent they’ve been pursuing for this (well known, respected, but not not exactly box office draws*) I don’t think that’s likely.

*Certainly Mel was a major star in his day, but he hasn’t been on the screen for so long, who can really say if his name will still bring in the big bucks?

I have never even HEARD of the Tyler Perry movie. Kudos to them, I guess. I thought for sure that “9″ would have been #1 this weekend.

That beaver movie sounds really really REALLY REALLY stupid.
