Well, I don't mind not having the taglines and stuff like that. But about the gadgets, it's kind of complicated. The reason why the Bond movies were starting to get dumb was because it seemed like he depended on the gadgets and there always seemed that they coincidentally introduced the exact gadgets he needs to defeat the enemy in the movies. I liked Casino Royale because there were a few gadgets, but they were all realistically done. No invisible cars, no missile shooting umbrellas or anything like that. Just some things that actually do exist today, but not quite as advanced.

But I definitely agree that QOS lacks a good plot and script. It seemed like every bit of dialogue and every turn of events was simply an excuse to lead to the next action scene. So it seemed like the plot and script revolved around the action instead of the action revolving around the plot like it should be, like it was in Casino Royale.

But I think Casino Royale is an awfully high standard to meet. Martin Campbell is king of Bond in my opinion, lol. Goldeneye was the only Pierce Brosnan Bond film I liked. I thought the rest was pretty bad.

I finally made it to the movies to watch Quantum of Solace. I did enjoy the movie but I felt like there was more action than plot. Not something I expected out of a Bond film although I did expect a lot of action. What I did find a bit unnerving was a few things lacking:

No "Bond, James Bond"
No "Shaken, not stirred"
No Moneypenny
No Q and no real gadgets

Is it just me or is this movie missing a few of the trademark 007 aspects we have all come to expect?

While I don't disagree with you about playing a hippy, I believe this is a prime example of why they are called actors.

I don't mind Craig playing Bond despite him being a big flaming hippy in real life, he's a pretty decent actor regardless and fits the role. Although it does strike me as strange that someone would play a character that is so different than themselves in real life. If I were an actor and was asked to play a tree-hugging hippy, I would turn it down, unless the role was meant as comedic and was meant to make fun of that, then I'll be glad to...

But anyway, count me out on Happy Feet 2, hated the first one. If math has anything to do with it, if Happy Feet 1 sucked, Happy Feet 2 will suck twice as much, lol. :-D

Gotta disagree, Gary. I really liked the new Bond flick. I loved all the action and I love Craig as Bond. The way that Bond is portrayed now is refreshing from the WAY over-the-top Bond of Brosnan (although I liked him, too). Count me in the group that wants to see Craig do a few more Bond flicks!!!
