Hey Ken-J you can consider me a conspiracy nut but when the Viking Probe landed on Mars back in the late “70’s” Gene Roddenberry was at JPL/NASA in Pasadena watching it with a group of celebs that were invited to the “live feed” landing. He remarked that Mars looked just like the Arizona desert.
Within 30 minutes JPL/NASA adjusted the red color shift on all the Tv monitors to give off a more red alien background.
Needless to say that was the last time they allowed the press and celebs to view a live feed from Mars or anywhere in Space…

Do the conspiracy math on that one…

Movie studios only really care about $$ not really critical acclaim, so most definitely Bay will ruin, I mean make, another Transformers movie.

UP was really awesome, I saw it twice in theaters. First time with friends, then I brought my girlfriend to it. I saw Star Trek twice too and I’m itching to see it again, can’t wait until it comes out on blu-ray.

Me too! I would watch a good transformers movie. I went to see the first one in theaters hoping for a good movie. I followed the movie prior to release, from that teaser of the rover landing on “Mars” (which had an atmosphere with clouds which looked a lot like earth, lol)

@ ken j. I wouldn’t call myself a trekkie, but I did love the original show and enjoyed the movies. I haven’t skipped it, I just have been avoiding going alone cus no one else wants to see it. I will def be makin the effort to see it soon tho!!!

I see Bruno is getting nothing but good reviews. The trailer of that movie just doesn’t do anything for me. While Borat had some very funny moments, I just thought it was too disgusting for another viewing.

I knew the film would be big but my goodness! I know people are saying they only went to see it for action, effects and Fox but there have been movies that had all that (well, not Fox but a hot actress) but a great story and acting, and didn’t come near this. With such large numbers and a bad script, you would think it would loose at least 70% next week, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Man, that is my most anticipated movie after Trek. If it’s as good as we hope it will be, just add that to the 2009 Historical Archives.

I can’t wait to see the drop off next weekend for Trans2.
It won’t come close to TDK in the long run…

2009 is definitely one for the history books. We saw the swearing in of the first Afro-American President; the death of arguably the greatest Afro-American entertainer; the death of an Angel; and we will possibly see a movie panned by critics be the greatest money-maker in film history. What else will we see in 2009.

Well I said if there was another movie with TRANSFORMERS in it that has good acting and a good script I would go see it, but there isn’t. If I wanted to go see Star Trek I’d go see it…..again. Dude I paid almost $15 and drove 45 minutes to see Star Trek with some friends in IMAX, DON’T TELL ME I AM A SIMPLETON!!!!! lol

I finally got to see “Up” last night. What a wondeful movie. My 2nd favorite movie of the summer after Star Trek. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it. I also really enjoyed the little short before the movie with the clouds. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. This movie will definitely be added to my collection when it comes out on DVD.

How the heck did Julianne Hough get that part in Footloose? I know she can dance and is pretty but she can’t sing and has never acted before in a leading role. Makes me wonder just who she is kissing up to in order to get this break? I feel bad for Chace since the movie will now be a definite bomb.

I’m a life-long Transformers fan and not a Star Trek fan.

Even I have to say Star Trek was a much better overall movie than TF2. :/

I’m beginning to agree with you guys unfortunately, but Michael Bay will likely come back for the third sequel so oh well…

Yeah, I never seen any Trek before the JJ Abrms version and now I’d class as a Trekkie.

I think the fact they were both written by the same people shows how important the director is, and how a bad one *cough* bay *cough* can really destroy a possibly good script.

Indiana Jones! If the Transformers movie had even half the story, the talent and the ideas that franchise had, I would not be whinging about the waste of life-time I’ll never get back that was Transformers2!
