This was a dream come true role for Miller. One of the best directors, one of the brightest of stars. Plenty of actors lose weight for a role. They must have dropped her for another actress, one that doesn’t come with baggage loaded with repulsive tabloid stories and pictures. Sir Ridley would not put up with the likes of her and Mr. Crowe doesn’t need the hassle. Maybe they will offer the part of Maid Marion to a real actress. Rachel McAdams would be my
choice! Miller’s PR have a lot of nerve blaming this on Sir Ridley and Mr. Crowe!

I am going to throw this out there for Nottinham’s Maid Marion. I believe that a good candidate would be Rachel Wiez. I think she has got the look, she has proven herself to be a good actress and i think Crowe and her would look good as an onscreen couple.

Did anyone else see all the WATCHMEN commercials during the football games this weekend? They all said “In theaters March 9!” If the lawsuit embroiling the film isn’t settled yet I’m having a hard time figuring out if the release date is accurate, or if it’s WB’s just saying “Screw it! We made the film and we’re running the trailer regardless!”
I have to admit to being completely clueless as to how putting the trailer out when the release date is in question doesn’t violate the judge’s ruling…

Just “wondering aloud” I ‘spose.

Well im happy Gran Torino has reached the top of the box office with $30 million. Great to see a good movie like that makes it to the top. Bide Wars looks like a good comedy too, can’t wait too see that.

On Fandango.com, they have a news article titled “Ledger’s Globe win boosts Oscar odds” why is it being treated like he HAS to win or else it’s not right? How come there are no other articles on other actors or directors or whatever and their odds to win the Oscars?

I’m sorry, I know it’s tragic that he killed himself, but aren’t these awards supposed to be based on merit? Wouldn’t it be better if Ledger is honored for his work and not out of pity?

Oh who am I trying to fool, the awards shows haven’t been about talent or merit for years now. At least this time it’s not a politically motivated award. So that’s a breath of fresh air already…

Well Kiera was the obvious choice, seeing as she and Miller were in that one about Henry the 8th. I’m not that bright.

Surely Maid Marian should be a bit older anyway, especially when Crowe is Robin?

But it is a really good point. Once there were a number of actresses who could handle roles like this – there were strong, good looking women.
Tough to think of any now.

I think Miller was dumped simply because she is box office poison and her personal life may be playing a part..Anyone remember how Jude Law was made to be the villain for cheating on her and she took all the press she could get”Poor Sienna” now that she has shown her true colors and is a homewrecher (although it takes two to do that) she is paying ther price..Isn’t this the second project she has been dumped from since she had the “affair”…All in all I still say she is box office poison..and this is not about Russel Crowe who is a great actor and proven bankable star..

There is nothing wrong with Ridley Scott or Russell Crowe, the problem is Miss Miller, Her ego is too big, Crowe and Ridley have made many movies together, and anybody who walks away from a Ridley/Crowe Movie is stupid. Miss Miller dubious sex life has come into play and wrecking a marriage whether happy or unhappy is not the way to go, apart from the fact there are 4 children involved.
