I posted this in the open discussion but just to add to the new Watchmen photos: the following video shows behind the scenes of the watchmen and shows Jackie Earle Haley’s Rorschach character without the mask for the first time.

read the book honestly, the movie looks like it’ll be great, but will never match the deepness of the book

Has Alan Moore denounced the movie yet? ;)
The novels of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is much MUCH superior to that movie.
Haven’t read Watchmen myself but intend to.

Also, glad Pegg won’t be in QT’s movie. Now if only Myers and Roth can be too busy as well.

Should take but a couple months after the DVD is released before this happens.

I bet that you NEVER see Indy 4 in the $5 bin. They’ll have it out for sale for a limited time and then re-release with the other 3 movies as a box set.

I read a blurb the other night that a certain person has already screened the film. That person said IT Was ****** Awesome. The fans won’t be disappointed that even Allen Moore won’t be disappointed. Their are a few differences between the two but they are minor. According to this person, it might rock 09 more than “The Dark Knight” has 08! Sounds like if you want to experience the story fresh, is to wait for the film.

Was thay Kevin Smith, Old Man??

Yeah lucky for me I have a Ysalamiri on me to block Robs force powers. Lol.
Im gonna see the film first, and take it in that way,,, from what im reading , there is a real issue with the running-time of the film,,, there saying theres a 3 hour cut and the studio wants a shorter one.

I wonder what cut Smith watchedmen ??

I’m not sure 790 maybe..

“what cut Smith watchedmen” :)
I think it was cut very little..

The boys in marketing would pat me on the head for this. “Put in an intermission and at the break sell Watchmen mint candy (junior Mints) shaped like smiley faces.” Put in a cellophane wrapper a commemorative collector ticket (Admit One to Watchmen).”

Yeah, they’d kick my buttocks out of the room! ;D

Well if (Kevin Smith) saw the full version, and says its awesome, then they should show that cut. ;-)

But they prob wont. :-(

man, this has to be 3 hours, you lose such critical moments cutting it down. Everything is there for a friggin reason, leave it!

And 790, I think you should read it because I did 2 months ago, haha. That would put us in the same boat :)

But in all seriousness, after enjoying the theatrical release, I can’t see anyone being motivated to read it after. It’s like that for me and LOTR, with the movies now, I have no interest in reading the novels, cuz it takes so long.
