In the age of FB, Twitter and blogging, people know right away if they are going to see a film usually as they are walking up to the theater window. If the movies rocks hardcore, no doubts such as TDK, word spreads pretty quick and the movie rockets into history. On the other hand, if the movie bombs or is just OK, then the same is true. I thought Sahara was fairly enjoyable not great mind you, but entertaining enough I wouldn't hate a sequal certainly better than another predictable rom com. I would say 87.7 million for the 1st 3 days is a very respectable showing. What else is funny to me, is all these Hollywood producers, directors, and actors are all up in arms about piracy and how it hurts the business but it would seem that ticket sales, not revenue mind you, are up by 16% over the last 2 years. Now does that sound like something that is walking hand in hand with the information Hollywood is spouting right now about damaging sales and business?
