Hmmm, Pixar must be one of the most organized companies ever to have the trailer ready more than a year before the movie comes out.

Hey Niall do you or any other Screenrant writers have an idea of when the Avatar trailer will be out?

Matt K says:

I’m a bit suprised that “Angels and Demons” beat “Star Trek” for number 1 spot…oh well “Terminator Salvation” NEXT WEEK

cat says:

star trek continues to do well like we all knew it would. close to beating Angels and Demons second weekend. doesn’t anyone know what the budget was?

wolverine has done well enough overall to ensure Fox will keep spitting out shit. what was Wolvies budget i wonder. 150?

Iron Knight says:

So I guess movies will find it difficult again to stay on 1st place at the box office for more than one weekend during this summer. Oh… wait… I’m thinking about Harry Potter… Yeah, I haven’t heard of any big film coming between it and G.I Joe (which I’m not gonna see). Maybe that weekend (July 17th) has something to do with it (remember a little film released in the same one last year?).
Must be cool to see something finally about Toy Story 3 after 10 years. I wonder how it’s gonna be like… Is it 3D?

Cat says:

RotF will own the first two weeks of it’s release – possibly win first 3 weeks.

Matt K says:

I think “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen” will be the highest grossing film this summer….maybe not the best film

Iron Knight says:

@ Cat

Nope, I don’t think so

@Matt K

Yes, very probable, though Harry Potter and Terminator might give it a run for its money

cat says:

wolverine is officialy done for the summer.

@Iron Knight

Back in 2007, Disturbia took 3 weekends in a row. a week later, Spiderman 3 took 2 weekends in a row and we all know horrible that movie was.

Iron Knight says:

@ Cat

Yes, but when those films opened, the summer wasn’t in its full glory. But Ok, MAYBE Transformers, will stay for two weeks or so, if lucky…

Ken J says:

I agree with Matt K, Transformers has the “mass appeal” and will dominate the summer. But we all know that box office gross doesn’t always equate to quality… And that’s all I’m going to say about that…

Cat says:

no one ever said it does. We were just talking numbers wise.

Andy S says:

SPider-Man the musical? Are you freaking kidding me?

I am surprised that A&D beat out Trek this week, I really am. I was expecting Trek to be on top. I’m surprised A&D has made so much, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a LARGE fall off next week.

Pick says:

More Star Trek puns please, you’re nearly making me want to go see the movie……
