Kofi,

Like you, I was going to wait until the Director’s Cut.. But I dunno, this looks pretty cool– and has “Under the Hood” aswell? Yeah, I’ll probably just break-down and go ahead and watch it.

Oh, and Gerard Butler definitely sounds great.

I am so thrilled they’re doing this. I always thought it was integral to Watchmen. Not plot, but just atmosphere. Great move!

Thanks for the post!

Checking this out ASAP, altho the BF was my least favorite thing about the book. In all honesty, I have to say I’m looking forward to the “Under the Hood” segment most. :-)

KEl,

I have to say I love that they did the whole Under the Hood documentary. I would’ve loved to see those segments of the documentary spliced into the theatrical version at key chapter points. It would’ve given a whole new dimension to the story. Sigh. But I’ll have to wait for the Blu-Ray I guess…

I wonder if the Blu-Ray version will have an option of cutting the Black Freighter into the appropriate places in the movie. THAT would be worth waiting for.

KEL says:

@ppnkof

I’m with ya, bro. :-)

I am a 61 yr old grandma who was blown away by 300(I saw it 11 times in the theater) and can hardly wait to see Watchman and Tales of the Black Freighter–don’t know if I can wait for the directors cut on this one. Zack S. is an amazing talent as is Gerard Butler.
