Sorry, we’re not giving away DVDs this time – just tickets to go see The Dark Knight in IMAX when it returns to theaters!

You may have heard that The Dark Knight was being re-released in theaters – it opens on January 23rd nationwide not only in regular theaters but in the enormous, high-resolution IMAX format as well. If you didn’t get a chance to see before, you’ll have one now.

We have ten (yes, 10!) tickets to give away and I think the best way to do it is to give them away as five (5) pairs so you can share the experience with someone. simple smile The Dark Knight IMAX Giveaway Winners!

So that’s FIVE winners of a pair of tickets to see The Dark Knight in IMAX. Clear? Good.

Here’s the official blurb:

See one of the most celebrated and successful films of this or any year, “The Dark Knight” in a return engagement on IMAX and in select theatres January 23rd.

The Dark Knight swept the People’s Choice Awards in five categories, including Favorite Movie and Favorite Cast. Cast member Heath Ledger won a Golden Globe Award and a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the film has been named on more than 150 critics’ lists of the year’s top-ten films.

Warner Bros. Pictures is giving audiences one more chance to see the film on the big screen – January 23, 2009!

And a little something to get your juices flowing…

  1. Thanks for the chance to see it in IMAX Vic. I am not sure if it will truly add to how great the movie is, but the bigger the screen, the bigger the action.

    Thanks again!

  2. Nice give away. I really want to see this film in Imax. This is the main reason I was a strong supporter of the re-release because we should all get a chance to see it in Imax.

  3. I saw the movie 16 times in the regular theatre first time around, only way to top that is to go to see it in IMAX. This is gonna be sweet.

  4. What’s so special about IMAX?

The only film I enjoyed in IMAX was Supes Returns, because of the flight scenes, superpowers and cinamatography etc.
But TDK is too dark (lighting-wise) to be make a big thing of it in IMAX.

I’ll enjoy it as much in a regular theatre.

  5. P.S. They should re-release Supes Returns in IMAX if anything – what a fantastic movie that was!

  6. oooo I been wanting to watch that movie ((( STILL HAVENT WATCHED IT YET )))

ive been waitin to see it in Imax, then it came out!
( it came out bad timing for me )

  7. The Dark Knight in IMAX is unbelievable. Since Nolan shot some of the action scenes using IMAX cameras, you really get to enjoy the full experience and not miss out on some cool bits due to a smaller screen. The Harvey Dent transport sequence is awesome, you get to see the Tumbler actually go under the 18 wheeler.

    BTW. That poster is sick.

  8. Hi Steve,

Aside from bigger screen and sound, there is no difference between seeing a movie on an IMAX screen or on a regular movie screen.

The difference happens when a filmmaker uses IMAX cameras (which Christopher Nolan did for TDK).

The cameras are specifically tailored for IMAX screens which means that they allow for a bigger picture. When you see TDK on a regular screen, they might as well have a warning that says “This film has been formatted to fit this screen”. Which basically mean stuff gets cut off.

  9. I saw it at the Irvine Spectrum IMAX and at the new Anaheim Garden Walk IMAX and the Spectrum won HANDS DOWN!

Turns out the spectrum IMAX screen is one of the largest they have.

U23D rocked there! (All 3 times I saw it)

  10. OMG!Awesome giveaway! I would love to go see this movie in Imax! Good luck everyone!Cross your fingers!

  11. I love this movie i think it is the best movie i have seen in my short 17 year old life, didnt get to see it in IMAX though :(, BTW where did you get that poster and do you know if it is for sale at any retail stores?Either in-store or online

  12. @James

Sorry, don’t know… I received that via email.

  13. OMG!Thank you so much Vic!You are the awesomest!!! ;D Gotta love this guy people!

  14. Oh Andy, Vic actually made a mistake and gave you the wrong tickets; he meant to give you better seats. Tell you what, just send them to me and I’ll make sure Vic sends the right ones. That goes for you too, Kimberly. :-) 😎

    Congratulations to all the winners!

  15. Hey gang,
