  5. I don’t care for World of Warcraft (or any other MMO for that matter) but I know that the render cutscenes in Blizzard games (Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft etc.) are always top notch. An animated movie at that level of visual quality would put any other animated movie to this day to shame. We really haven’t seen anything like that on the big screen yet. Even Beowulf looks like an amateur project in comparison. That would be the way to go and they should drop the live action approach.

  6. They are bringing alot of characters into the new spider man, why not bring in The Coon, Mysterion, and Proffesor Chaos! Epic.

If Ant can’t find bon cop bad cop he should watch “Dead Ringers”! Just watched it for my Canadian film course (yes I’m Canadian). A Cronenberg 1988 Canadian flick that would bring up a really interesting review i’m sure.

    • That’s for Kofi actually upon my recommendation :)

      Go Canada!

      • Oh wow complete brainfart haha yea it would be great for Kofi to review that!
        Represent the red and white!

        • Racist! :-)

          • Kofi and I are black, Rob and I are Canadian. I guess that just leaves you out Ant and Ben ;) haha I respect your people too!

  7. If they make the wow movie with cut to players playing the game then it would be a videogame movie not a wow movie and wouldnt advance the genre. It would be like a film that breaks the 4th wall that acknowledges the director during the film.
I feel there are too many females coming into spiderman for a sequel. Marc Webb already played up the romance in the first one that it bored me too death and sort of ruined the two deaths that happen the film. All I can remember from the film is
    1. boring origin retelling, that feels glossed over
    2. gwen stacy, gwen stacy, blonde emma stone, gwen stacy
    3. lame lizard fight
So I feel giving Webb more females is asking for trouble.
+I feel the lizard couldve grown more feral and grew a snout.

Also I hope the rhino is an armored suit and not genetic beast.
So did friedle quit onscreen work because he got jipped on failed tv shows?
Kofi said all the things I was thinking in my head about Sunny, even suggesting the reunion ep and rickity cricket.
Ben should watch the eps that first bring in green man and the night man song.
Also lady siv(thor) has a fun part in the underage drinking ep way back that I watched again recently. I intend the buy all the seasons now that theyre cheap.

  8. I thought Warm Bodies would be a much more interesting podcast then Bullet to the Head and I’m glad you guys did it Nicholas Hoult is a great young actor a long ways away from being that young kid from the movie About A Boy & Teresa Palmer was good as well would’ve like to see her in Captain America sequel but maybe she’ll play Sue Storm…

I commented to Ben on last weeks podcast that Duncan Jones should get a big tent pole type film and then he gets Warcraft(I made that happen like Ben cancels things) but I got WOW as a gift a long time ago & I played it was fun for a bit until the novelty of it wore off but I think it could work start with the humans & different factions then introduce everything I see why you guys went on a tangent especially loved how Rob & Kofi bagged on the potential of the movie then say well “I have faith in Duncan Jones”…

I like the potential of expanding on the Amazing Spider-Man universe would love to see Black Cat & Mysterio but Paul Giamatti is a great character actor I’m having a hard time picturing him in a big physical role as Rhino(love the mock up by the way), I mean Mark Ruffalo made the Hulk work but thats a little bit different then a dude that looks like a Rhino I’ll reserve judgment until trailer…

Boy Meets World was one of the great shows from my childhood and I will probably check it out I don’t know if will be something I look out for and tune into each week but Ben your right it was pretty easy to find out why Will Friedle is out of the public, tough to hear but I’m sure he will work his way back and with my bet screw up Uncle Shawn Hunter…

  9. Haha wow, that Rhino pic does not help alleviate my concerns with Giamatti playing Rhino. I wonder how much of his face will be intact within the Rhino suit/mutation.

  10. Ragging on something just to say how much you love it is CLASSIC KOFI.

  13. Loved the discussion on how TV viewing habits are changing. I no longer have cable or dish service and only stream my television (with a Roku and Hulu Plus and Netflix service). After a year of doing this, I noticed it is a pain to keep up with some shows on Syfy, AMC, USA, and other cable networks…they take forever to make their shows available on-line and then they only leave them out there for a short stint to view. So, now I only watch these on Netflix. When season 3 of Being Human started, season 2 became available on Netflix. Sure I’m a year behind with it…and the Walking Dead and Breaking Bad and Burn Notice and Psych and Archer and…well everything on cable. So when new seasons of these shows are available, I can sit back and watch a block of my favorite characters doing what they do best…entertaining me.

    • Another point brought up is that you could actually watch the current seasons of most shows with just a week delay or less via the network websites. I kind of think that Netflix is beginning to change viewing habits too much. I understand the want to watch whatever whenever, but TV still does need the corporate backing (and ad sales) to pay for these $100+ million seasons.

      • Understandable, but it’s the networks fault for not making the shows available on this new medium. Hulu Plus has corporate advertising, and I’m fine with that. But, for example, not one new show from CBS is available to watch that way. Sure I could go to the CBS website to watch their shows, but then I’d be watching a shoddy video feed on my computer screen (I have hooked my computer directly to the TV, but it’s still a crap video feed). I prefer having my Roku hooked up to my TV and sound system with a HD video feed for all my streaming needs. If these networks created their own Roku/Xbox/Wii/PS3/other streaming device apps (some have for news outlets), I’d download it and watch their programming on their network app with their network’s advertising. You’d think it would be a possibility at least for the broadcast networks, but who knows the logistics of copyrights and all that other network BS.
