The Vestron Video Collector’s Series has brought the Warlock trilogy to Blu-ray - and they've released a new behind-the-scenes clip to celebrate the new release. Starring Julian Sands, the series follows an evil warlock who travels from the 17th century to the modern pursued by a witch-hunter; it's basically The Terminator meets Highlander.
All three films - the 1989 original, 1993 sequel Warlock: The Armageddon and straight-to-video threequel Warlock III: The End of Innocence (which came out in 1999 and lacked Sands) - are being released on Blu-ray for the first time as part of a 2-disc set from Vestron Video Collector’s Series. In addition to being restored and remastered, the set includes a bevy of bonus features, including audio commentaries, interviews, and making-of featurettes.
To celebrate the release, a short behind-the-scenes clip has been released showing the making of the film's action sequences, detailing Sands showing off against Richard E. Grants' witch-hunter and giving a taste of the in-depth features in the set. You can see the full trail above and see the full details of what's in the set below.

It may not be quite as well known as the movies it's often likened to - mainly due to a much lower budget that really shows - but Warlock has gained a strong cult following in the decades since its initial release thanks to its assured direction, strong mythology, overall sense of fun and - most of all - Sands' hammy performance. The sequels are less well-regarded but are still totally worth checking out for fans.
This is the eleventh collection released as part of the Vestron Video Collector’s Series, a Lionsgate resurrection of the iconic VHS brand from the 1980s. Over the past year they've continued to make a name for themselves with re-releases of other cult classics like Waxwork and Wishmaster.
Vestron's Warlock Collection is available on Blu-ray now.
