Well of course Wesley Snipes would be ideal, but he’s in jail now, isn’t he?

So, the next best deal is Michael Jai White.

Howard is too soft as War Machine. Maybe he’s more suited for a pink-colored armor or something.

I think a spin-off movie is incredibly possible. A 2nd rate character like Elektra landed one from Daredevil and Marvel Studios has been talking about the X-Men Origin Spin-off movies. They seem to be en vogue.

I dont think they should go all out with all those movies + spinoffs so early, it will make Iron Man gimmicky, plus unless they got some super talented writers, people will get tired of seeing the same Iron suit, red gold or silver.

Yah, but would they be able to save the franchises that Fox already has the rights to like X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc? Or are they just kind of lost forever?

I don’t think a spinoff will be decided on until after his appearance in Ironman 2. If it works, and there’s room in the story between Ironman 2 and 3, I’d say a spinoff is cool if it intertwined with those films and had Robert Downey appearances in it.

As for Marvel, I’ve read articles here and there mentioning with their recent success and hopeful successes of 4 huge mega blockbusters on the slate, they may try to push financing and production to pump out 3 flicks a year rather than 2 in the years to come.

I love to see Marvel studios in charge of their own material rather than Fox pissing on all of the source stuff with their flicks.

Yah, I really hope that Iron Man is still the star of the next film even with War Machine.

And spin offs are usually pretty bad, and this don’t sound any different…

I just hope IM2 and 3 will be just as great as the first one or better.

I don’t know if he (Favreau) said that but I think making the Avengers third film for Iron Man is a great idea — especially done right, ‘The Avengers’ could be Incredible Hulk 2 and Iron Man 3! A great idea! they should tie up the climax to intertwine all the characters stories. Could be really great or horrible. I hope great!

I just hope they don`t show much about War Machine cause the movies are about IRON MAN!
Also, I thought Favreau said he would rather consider The Avengers film to be the third part, than doing a third one (cause they always suck).
