This has been a tough season for the characters on The Walking Dead. Negan and the Saviors completely cowed the group at Alexandria by brutally murdering Abraham and Glenn, and kidnapping Daryl in one night. The Saviors force other groups, including The Kingdom and Hilltop, to gather supplies for them, leading with torture and terror to prevent rebellion. They have such great numbers that no group has been able to fight back.

However, the characters who have been together for awhile have now split up, and that may be to their advantage. One group can't fight back, but maybe all of them working together can. Most recently, after Negan and his group killed Spencer and Olivia and abducted Eugene, Rick finally decided the time had come to fight back. He reunited with Maggie, Sasha, and a newly escaped Daryl at Hilltop. Meanwhile, some of the Kingdom want to fight back as well. And someone is following Rick and Aaron after they found a well protected supply of weapons.

AMC released a series of new posters on Facebook, but there are no answers in these mysterious images, only more questions. Some of the images include a bunch of rubber ducks, a bowl attached to a bike like a basket, an overturned bucket, a bunch of cantaloupes, a giant brown picture on a wall (possibly a handprint), a lantern, and a pile of peanuts. Take a look in the gallery below:

Other images, though still not revealing a specific story, at least indicate the violence that The Walking Dead has taught us to expect. A bundle of dynamite, a fossilized corpse, an empty grave, a group of shadows of people holding guns, and some walkers stumbling around a pretty decrepit looking area all promise the same high stakes and dangerous situations that the show has focused on since day one.

Of course, The Walking Dead has a history of posters with very simple images on them, like the poster for season seven which showed only Negan's bat Lucille. However, the meaning behind that image was clear, the audience knew that Negan killed someone with Lucille, the mystery was the identity of the dead. These images though, could mean anything. After all, rubber ducks have never been seen on the show before, so there is no clue as to what they could represent. Still, the image of an unmarked grave promises more death when The Walking Dead season 7 continues.
