I am curious about the average age of the posters. Seems like instead of writing about the show, they get mad at other posters for not having the same opinion as they do. I wonder if those who have jobs practice this behavior in the workplace. I know I’d fire someone who did. But that’s just me. I guess when you hide behind a computer, it makes a person bold.
My comments about the show: Season Two SUCKED BIG TIME in comparison to Season One. Too slow, too much filler, and the plenty of nonsense coming out the mouths of characters. I love zombie stuff, and always have. I’m always looking for better character development. I learned new in Season Two about any of the Season One character. Season Two was cheapened by bad writing and boring repetitiveness. Now go ahead and attack me, or do you save that for female named posters only?!

People are so quick to jump on the sexist/ racist bull**** all the time when really they have nothing to back up their wild accusations. I think the law courts and censors would have something to say about those issues IF there was any sense in it. If the OP thinks the second season sucked, she should be free from getting told to “enjoy the show”. If she didn’t enjoy the show, she wouldn’t watch. There is nothing wrong with criticism. I get what youu mean about Season Two. But it is a story, and no story is super-exciting from beginning to end. There are lulls. I love the show as much now as I ever have. A boring season 2 makes me excited for season 3. Ive read the comic, and “it gets better”…

Totally agree. Season two was slow, boring and completely lacked Zombies until the last 2 episodes.

I loved Season one and Season two. I usually don’t even like zombies and I never have. I like that the characters interact with eachother and I love the way they did season two even though some people think that it had a lot of fillers. I don’t know about you but I was ecstatic when Rick killed Shane. Everyone they have plays their characters extremely well. You know they are good actor when you actually hate or love some of the characters. What I honestly thought was stupid, was that Lori was mad at RIck for killing Shane. Like are you kidding me? Who CARES!! Hes not your man so quit it. But it wasn’t like I thought the writers were bad or anything. The show is great. If you dont like it, heres some advise, DONT WATCH IT!! Its stupid to go on a page for a show just to talk about how much you don’t like it. I was excited to read the GOOD things people had written about the show and see how many people love the show as much as I do.
I understand what you guys (and gals) are saying about season 2 not being as good, admittedly I never noticed how many of the episodes dragged because I’m a late arrival so watch all of season 1 & 2 in about a week and a half so it almost felt like the slow half dozen episodes fitted in well rather than rushing the pace of the story. I can only imagine how tormenting it is to have to wait a week for yet another slow episode though.
I think you got it spot on about Lori getting upset about Shane, I mean she practically pushed Rick into it and told him to (in a round about kinda way).
Anyway…. Roll on Season 3, I can’t wait. I might have to buy the game just to fill the void.

Warren Becker, really? A horrible show? Then why is it still breaking records for how many people watch it? Too many people love the show. What they need to do is give them more money to be making the show. people complain how slow season 2 was but there was also budget cuts. Keep that in mind. AND there is going to be a lot more zombie action next season, so people can stop complaining now. How bored are these people that they watch a show they hate just so they can write bad reviews on it. Waste of time in my opinion. And stupid.

Anyone who complains about the lack of zombie action is ignoring the first rule of the show, which was shown in the synopsis of the first episode. The story takes place during the zombie apocalypse, it isn’t focusing on it. It is about the characters’ reaction to it. So bear that in mind when ragemode-ing

I was sad at the end of season 2. I did not want Shane to die. I know he was getting more out of control, but he was always the only one who did what needed to be done to survive. I would have shot the fat guy if i was in that situation also. I’m not really looking forward to season 3 without him, but I notice that Rick is getting more dark so i’ll watch for a while.

Yeah I liked Shane too, he was so well acted. Poor sod did the best he could keeping everyone safe, then along comes Rick and he gets pushed aside so all of a sudden his opinion dosen’t matter any more. I would probably go a bit funny in the head if I was him to.
I think Shane being killed by Kyle is an important part in the comics so they had to stick to it, only difference was in the comic Shane was still living and when Kyle arrived it was when Shane had a gun to his dads (Rick) head. So it was Kyles first kill but beyond that I know little.
I think Darryl becomes Ricks new right hand man so I can’t wait to see his character come out a bit more.
yeah shane was my favorite in the show..i never got around to reading the comics.i just started watching the show and i love it..season to was a little slow but good ..i cant waite to see season 3 with the new character and he/she zombie slaves..but for real they should have killed off the chick that lost her girl..its not like she had anybody..sorry to say that..but you never know the new character could be a chick and shane could have hooked up with her..

shane was a horrible guy from the start. If u watch the first elisodes over ull notice he did everything he could to keep everything how he wanted it…. Lie to lori about rick so shed wouldnt worry about him and move on to himself. Make no effort to warn ppl on the street not to go into the city or let them know where to find the camp. Also remember this is ricks family, i am a father with a fam of my own…. So instinctively, even tho they were high school friends, and worked together as deputys, i would have killed shane myself the first time he attacked me. He had lost it and was more dangerous to the whole group than a gang of walkers. Im just wondering about the gang of survivors who are nearby. Obviously merl dixon is alive somewhere and i think we may see him again soon… Btw i do loved the way rick ended shanes torture and then his son put him down with one shot showing no emotion. Carls a badass!!

I was also a Shane fan! He wasn’t evil…just a love sick guy who happened to have the means and training to make people uncomfortable. One thing I think everyone can agree about with Shane is…the guy got stuff done! If he hadn’t shot Otis then they both would have dies, along with Carl. If he hadn’t opened the barn and shot the zombies then they wouldn’t have found Sophia…maybe Daryle dies searching for her in the woods. He was my favorite character too…all that said if I was Rick I would have gutted him too.

deadhead13…I’ve never read the comics but I’ve heard Dale, and Sophia both last a little longer or a lot longer. I kind of think that they may not try to replace dead characters…I think they are giving the comic readers a timely surprise to keep things interesting. From what I hear about the writers of the comics pretty much anything goes. From what I can tell especially from season 2 is that the writers carry that trait over to the show. I told my girlfriend about ten seconds before Dale died (when he was walking through the pasture toward the dead cow) that he was going to get killed soon. If I had read the comic I would have never guessed that. Same deal with Shane…I knew it was coming (mainly because I had heard that he died pretty early in the comics) but I was still shocked, and upset when both were killed. I like the way they are keeping it interesting for both sets of fans. Atleast I think that is what they are intending to do.
I really thought this was gonna be like all zombie movies and shows but when I started watching it there was much more of a story line to it I would have to say this is much better and more interesting then any zombie movies/shows I love it and can’t wait till season 3!!!!

A think just a little too much has been said about the lack of intelligent women or minorities in season 2. I think it would kinda cheap to add a Hispanic just for the sake of having more ethnic diversity. The characters came together by chance…they weren’t carefully selected for their attributes… How would that be realistic? Yeah, Carols character is not one of a strong woman.
There are many like her in the world. Yeah, T-Dog has a stereo Typical nick-name… Is it uncommon for African Americans to go by street names? What about Otis? That southern White Male stereotype is far more offensive IMO…so there are examples of negative stereotypes affecting multiple races and sexes, it’s a bit simple and lacks some creativity, but I don’t think it’s by design.hopefully the introduction of Michonne satisfies some viewers looking for balance between the roles of the Characters… But let me warn you…. She Is Not the perfect African American female… She has flaws, big character flaws…just like everyother person on the show and watching from home.
I do agree that TWD’s characters have a lot of negative stereotypes. However, stereotypes of A.A.’s and others are actually very prominent in the south.
Besides that, I do feel that Lori did hint to Rick that Shane was “dangerous.” She liked being wanted by two men. Shane was a great asset, he was hot, but he had to go. Honestly, I connect with Maggie the most out of all the characters. I love Glen, he’s definitely my favorite character. Glen is smart, he went to the city for everyone to gather necessities.. Can you say sacrifice? I’m excited for the prison… And michonne (spelling?). Lori’s supposedly pregnant, right? Scary!! They should make this into a movie, this is an epic tv series, but come on, this as a movie would be so much more profitable… Or do you guys disagree?

Love the new character with the sword. Finally someone with a sword. It is THE best defense and offense against zombies like the ones in walking dead. It’s gotta be the brother of the crossbow guy, who is awesome btw.
Actually the person with the sword your refering to is not Daryl’s brother, its a female character from the comics named Michonne. She’s awesome just wait till you see her in action in season 3.

I cannot wait for season 3. Season 1, it was good, not great but good. Nice plot to it, great way of introducing the series. Season 2, OK but it was lagging quite a bit. I enjoyed it, but they could have done better.

I’m excited for season 3. I work at a prison, and my fellow coworkers and I always say that if there were a zombie apocalypse, that we would go to the prison. I’m curious to see how the prison would work in an apocalypse according to the producers of the show. Any thoughts?

If you guys really can’t wait for season 3 why not try The Walking Dead game for PC and Mac. Its awesome. Its pretty much like the show. A lot os story with added action. Anyway heres hoping for more action in Season 3 later on this year. Sure wished Shane would have lasted a little longer even though he was a loose cannon.
