In a radio interview Friday on the Valentine in the Morning show, Paul Walker, star of three of the four Fast and the Furious movies, revealed that there will be a fifth installment in the franchise.
He explains that that he and Vin Diesel would both be back to reprise their character roles and that the film would take place in Brazil.

Walker had this to say about Fast and Furious, which opened last weekend, and the next film:
“This was supposed to be it… There wasn’t supposed to be the open-ended closing like there was. When I first read the screenplay, I was like, ‘Man, look what they’re doing.’ But without question, with the way things opened up, Vin and I will be coming back, we’re making a fifth one, and we’re going to Brazil, that’s it.”
The conversation then led to asking Walker why he came back for this film after not doing the third.
“Vin didn’t do the second one, and fans would always ask me, Why didn’t Vin do the second one? I didn’t really have an answer for them,” he said. “And then I didn’t do the third one. And guys would come up to me on the street and be like, ‘Hey, why weren’t you in the third one?’ And when they ask the question, it’s kinda like they got that look…saying, ‘Don’t tell us you’re too good for us now.’”

They’ve finally figured out the formula – For the movie to bring in big bucks, they need to bring back the main cast! Who would of thought? That’s exactly what they did with Fast and Furious and the movie had a massive opening weekend and now they’re already planning another sequel.
I wonder what they’ll call the next installment – They’ve completely abandoned any sort of numbering scheme with the movies so far, using a subtitle for the third film (Tokyo Drift) and dropping the two appearances of the word “the” from the original title for Fast and Furious. Maybe they can drop the “and” and go with Furiously Fast?

But yeah, I would mind another if they stick to the plot of having the original cast and ludicrous plots.
Fast & Furious: Brazilian Heat…?
No matter what people say about these movies, I personally see them for what they are: Machismo-RiceRocket-Car-Culture, they know their audience, AND that they actually build an entire world with characters, locations, etc.
Tokyo Drift maybe the worst out of all of them BUT I do give them the mad pounds for actually creating a new story, with new characters and at the end tie it up with the previous installments using Vin’s character.
The change of location being set in Brazil, I see it as a good thing.

I saw Fast and Furious today, wasn’t really planning on it, but was on a date and I wasn’t at all interested in any other movie out now except Taken but I’ve already seen that. Anyway, I thought it was quite ok, much better than the others, especially 2 and 3. I also liked how it mainly focused on muscle cars instead of ricers. Walker seemed to be the only idiot driving a little ricer while everyone else was roaring around in crazy cars with big block V8’s.
The wheelie Vin’s car did in that race with Walker’s character in this movie looked a lot more realistic than the one from the first one. But in the first one you can see the hydraulic arm underneath the car that lifted the front end up, lol.
And I know times are finally getting better when that blonde idiot said “muscle beats imports every time, every time!” and some people in the audience actually cheered that statement on, including me. While a few years ago that comment would have been booed, even though he’s right, lol.
Overall, not a bad car movie. Watching old SS Camaro’s, Firebirds, Turino’s, and other bad ass classic cars on the big screen is always a good time. They had a Ford GT in there too, but not driving, you just saw it in the background. Too bad though, that would have been awesome to see.

That sucks about not seeing the Ford GT in action, guess have to rewatch them BBC Life on Mars eps.
this installment was much better than the last two! I for one, loved the first one and think that this one was more along those lines. Ill see a 5th.
Personally I think as long as they still have Vin and Paul in the plot and if they bring in more muscle cars then a 5th film would be worth watching. SK47 i love the Fast and Furious: Brazillian Heat!! I think it kinda sucked that they killed off Letty in the first 10 mins of the 4th film coz I would have loved to have seen the whole Dom/Letty in the 5th film coz they just go together so well.
Well, Paul’s character is in love with the ricers, so he’ll have to continue in that direction, but other than that, I enjoy watching the big block V8 muscle cars so much more. There’s nothing cooler than a car doing a wheelie… Let’s see a ricer do that.

Make the movie longer at least over 2 hours the second transformers was long you can fake death Letty More muscle cars please show the cars slower and in more details engine interior also, also more racing more betting less Mexicans please like in the fourth one
More hot juicy girls more horsepower in cars and good details are needed for racing more pop in wheelies more hardcore burn outs and drifting in the best detail as possible other stunts like jumps and side driving on 2 wheels pink slip racing also don’t forget some nice paint jobs don’t take too long to make the movie maybe get some Luda-Chris in the movie get Vin Desil a new girl that he would like more reality action in the movie
