Wouldn’t we all love to be whisked away into a fairy tale world? Disney films have made us dream of the day we would become princes and princesses and live in castles. We dreamed of magical faraway lands, true love, and most of all: adventure. These places seem so real in our imaginations and we wished they were part of our reality.
Would you believe us if we told you that some of these places do exist? And that you could even visit some of them? It turns out that many of the creators at Disney drew inspiration from real life places all over the world.
One of the most breathtaking places the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. This castle was an inspiration for the castle in Sleeping Beauty, which can also be seen at Disneyland. This castle is not only beautiful but also historical as it marked the innovation of King Ludwig the Second.
Believe it or not, even Queen Elsa’s castle in Frozen is inspired by a real-life ice hotel in Canada. The Hotel de Glace is made out of actual ice and so are the decorations and furniture inside. Every year features a different theme. They even featured a room inspired by Ana and Elsa’s room in the movie.
