I’d be glad to see a Ghostbusters 3 — but it really does have to have something new to offer and not just the retread that number two was. Twenty-plus years later, I’m curious about the character arcs of the protaganists, the original quartet. Would Annie Potts or Sigourney Weaver come back too?

i thought the second movie held up pretty well, story and characters and it was all smooth and almost as fun as watching the first movie really.

maybe theyll get jason rietmen to direct it if ivan wont.

CANNOT WAIT!!!!! The second was not that bad. I agree with Thomas and that the original cast better not be sidelined by the new cast. I also wanna know where Ivan Reitman is in all this? He was a little instramental in the franchise and if he is not gonna be back to direct then hopefully they can get his son Jason to direct it. That would be a great movie to see even for people not familiar with the franchise.

The second movie wasn’t as good as the first but then again…how many sequels are as good as the first? I liked the second just because of what it was…the ghostbusters together again. With that said…I would love to see a third movie. My kids don’t even know who the ghostbusters are…never even heard of the movies…this would be a chance for us who remember the first two movies to relive them again as well as introduce the younger generation to them. I’m all for a third installment but lets keep the tech as low as possible after all the movies have always been about the characters not the tech.

I am all for a Ghostbusters 3, played the game and would love see the gang one more time on the big screen, heck even Slimer too.

I’m apparently the only person in the world who didn’t think Ghostbusters 2 was THAT bad. Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be and certainly not as bad as most sequels (just because Bill Murray didn’t like it doesn’t mean everybody else can’t.

Ghostbusters: A+ (one of my favorite movies ever)
Ghostbusters 2: B

And of course I’d like to see a 3. Indiana Jones 4 was fun just because we got see Harrison Ford in the role again…granted that was the only good thing about that movie, but…I’d pay to see Ramis, Akroyd, Murray, and Hudson back as long as they don’t get completely sidelined by new recruits or something.

I definitely want to see a third Ghostbusters movie. It’s been sounding good thus far. I would love to see what modern effects do for the movie–just as long as they don’t go overboard. If they make it about the characters then it has the potential to be great. I hope this keeps progressing well.

I really am looking forward to a third Ghostbusters, but like you said the second was dissappointing and pretty much relied on the special effects. I would like for them to use the special effects of today’s standard as long as they have good story to go along w/ it.
