  1. Yeah, Van Damme proving why he’s considered a legend.

  2. You seriously think Van D was on two trucks going backwards while performing the splits at the limit of his legs. We follow a lot of fiction on this site but that takes the cake.

    • You obviously missed the part about it being a test of Volvo’s new steering system. The level of control the new trucks are capable of allowed for this video to be made. Van Damme is rigged to the trucks so he doesn’t die (even after a bunch of rehearsals), but it’s all real.

      • I think not. They may be pushing a stunt to promote the new steering but at no time are they showing from any other angle or does there seem to be any other detail on it on the web. If it was truly done without wires that were erased or a blue screen don’t you think they would have shot it from every angle and be promoting the heck out of it.? This isn’t a truck that steers itself. It only has more stabilized steering. They merely thought of a gimmick to show its stability. Why show them in reverse when forward would be just as good. How many truck drivers need high speed stability in reverse. I call fake.

The only behind the scenes available is another edited video which merely shows another man explaining what is going to happen and Van being surprised at what he is explaining.
The point of the commercial is to make everyone think he actually did it. And by hiding all the behind the scenes realities they pulled it off.

        • You have been proven wrong!!!

          • @Jon

            • Actually, no, I am correct. What I stated was “If it was truly done without wires” and what your link provided was “Van Damme, 53, was hooked to safety lines that aren’t visible in the film, and each foot is on a small platform that was built on the trucks’ side mirrors.”

So not only was he tied to a safety harness rig that was erased from the final image but he was also standing on additional flat platforms added to the mirrors.
He did not perform this as depicted in the video.

              • The fact is, he still did it.

Things can and have gone wrong, even with safety harnesses. I think you just enjoy being extremely negative about anything that looks cool or interesting and being “that guy”.

              • Wires or no wires he is still doing the splits between two moving vehicles, what exactly is your argument.

                • Exactly.

              • Just admit when you’re wrong dude.

What you ACTUALLY said was: “I call fake.”
Fake, it is not. There may be a safety harness, but don’t try to pretend you weren’t saying it was all special effects.

              • I don’t believe you really typed that Jon. I call fake! You’re obviously wearing a safety harness in front of a greenscreen whilst using fake rubber hands. The chair you’re sitting in is all CGI and your trousers are foam latex copies and your bedroom is just a well crafted miniature. Your mom is also a matte painting.

You can’t pull the wool over my eyes Jon. (If that’s even your real name and not your stunt name.)

  3. Biscuits and gravy is delicious

  4. that Volvo ad looks awsome, even with wires not many people could do that

it’s not like the Dynamo bus stunt which actually is a trick, it’s more along the lines of Nik Wallenda with a wire

    • I’d like to see JCVD try the Van Dam Split.

It’s a weightlifting challenge created by pro wrestler Rob Van Dam, where he does a full split between two chairs or two benches then lifts a heavy weight from the floor up to waist height for just one rep.

Only RVD and one other guy have managed to do it. I can’t remember what the world record weight was the last time it was attempted.

      • ouch

maybe not now but in his prime i would bet he could, RVD looks alot like JCVD (not just the name) i wonder if they are related

  5. wow PS4 ice t kicking the robot is jokes, i think im buying this it looks incredible

    • I could just do that all day… looked so much fun

    • Very cool indeed. Might just have to buy.

  6. Jim Gaffigan is funny.
