The Vampire Diaries, the new show from the CW is about to kick it in gear on Thursday, September 10th and we have the latest preview of it for you.
The series is about Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), a vampire who moves to Mystic Falls, Va., and falls for the local non-vampire girl Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrey). His brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), would love to just drain the local population, but Stefan wants to protect his love and possibly, other humans too.
Try to give the show a chance – Even if it did end up shoving Smallville off to Friday nights. The Vampire Diaries will be the lead-in to Thursday nights Supernatural premiere.

this just looks so… emo (at least, that’s what the ads on TV make it out to be).
Sort of a “Dawson’s Blood Vessels”? Coming from the CW, chances are.

This just looks like another very watered-down vampire story to me. That’s too bad, but who knows? Maybe they’ll surprise us. Seems more like “Dark Shadows” in a high school.
Its shows like these that make the CW suck
I will check this out simply b/c I’ve loved all things vampire since I was a kid sneaking anne rice novels and reading them way before i should have. But I digress. . . I don’t think I will like this show. Twilight is lame but enjoyable. This just looks lame even if the books it’s based on came waaaaaaaay before Twilight. I can’t wait for the Twilight phenomenon to pass and vampires going back to the dark, tortured, sexy, evil things they should be.
OMG! They’ve serialized the “Twilight” movies 1:1 and recast the characters with 90210 try-out losers. There is not ONE scene in this trailer that doesn’t exactly ressemble a “Twilight” scene! *shudder*

i tried watching it, i really did. but after the first commercial i had no problem switching to the steelers game
