Tom Cruise certainly seems crazy enough to be a nazi.

It’s hard for me to take him seriously in a role that deserves and demands an actor to be taken seriously. I think he’s lost a lot of his star quality and will always be, from now on, labeled as the Scientology nut that used to put out good action movies.

Yeah, he is a good actor, I’ll give him that, but way to full of himself. I have a hard time liking a movie if I don’t like how the lead actor is in reality. he said people thanked him for his role in The War of the Worlds, when he got in the argument with that news guy. that bothered me.

Holy crap.

What kind of a poster is THAT? Ok, so obviously they want to get across the impression that this isn’t your typical WWII-based flick but come ON…what’s with all those random grey boxes? Did they hire some kid from MySpace to totally pimp up the poster? I mean, it’d actually be pretty decent if that white space behind the characters was just that…a white space! It’d look sleek and fairly classy. Right now, with all those grey boxes it’s a confused and schizophrenic mess.

Y’know, I would actually be looking forward to this movie if it didn’t star Tom bloody Cruise. I’ve nothing against him for the wackiness or the whole ‘I’m a scientologist, bleh’ thing but, seriously, who in the heck thought that Tom Cruise of all people would make a decent Nazi?

Anyone?

No?

Me neither.

Please, Bryan Singer, please do a few smaller flicks with unknowns after this one. You’re too good of a director to be lumped in with this kind of crap.

They gray boxes look like a floor layout/building plans with the red line as a trail to something?

Might just be me =)

I was looking forward to this from the first trailer. Still looks good to me.

Anyway, too bad they don’t make WWI/II-movies like they used to. I mean germans spoke german, englishmen spoke english and americans spoke american englisch. That’s why I loved Der Untergang, that brute german language just gives an edge to the whole experience and a real sense of reality!

No Rev, it’s not just you… those “box- lines” are clearly blueprints if anybody bothers to look twice. I believe the space that appears behind Cruise on the poster is the conference room where the bomb would be placed to kill Hitler and the top regime figures in Operation Valkyrie.

“…and as good as Cruise is in most of his films,” Rob! are you kidding?

Tom Cruise has always been and will always be just an OK actor in some really good movies.
When’s the last time anyone saw a Cruise film that was good BECAUSE he was in it?

He always plays the same character, Tom Cruise in every movie he does.

He’s box office poison but no will come out (in Hollywood) and say it.

PREDICTION: This will be another Cruise movie where he will be upstaged by his co-star(s). Remember Collateral, W.O.T.W, Last Samurai, MI3?

Personal preference I guess JesseH,

I think he was great in Collateral, Last Samurai and MI3. Minority Report happens to be one of my favourite movies, and Top Gun one of my favourites when I was a kid.

Wasn’t a fan of him in WOTW though.
