Yeah but with 50 cent? Who has the acting talent of say any other rapper-wannabe-actor. Zilch.

Check out his music?? No thanks.
I think there’s a shark that’s jumped when actors start thinking they are rock stars as well.
(Kevin Bacon).

The one good thing about this post is that he’s prob NOT going to be working on a weekly show called Knight Rider.

This new project sounds lame as can be. Val should try out a Superhero film. There’s plenty of new charaters coming up.

For older stuff, his turn in Thunderheart is just amazing. Ditto for HEAT and such an understated yet powerful role.

As for his ‘comeback trail’ material, Spartan and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang were just really solid and great performances by him.

Mamet lines in Spartan done by Kilmner are pretty damn great too. How can you not love:

Scott: What they gotcha teachin’ here, young sergeant?
Jackie Black: Edged weapons, sir. Knife fighting.
Scott: Don’t you teach ‘em knife fighting. Teach ‘em to kill. That way, they meet some sonofabitch who studied knife fighting, they send his soul to hell.

and

Scott: You need to set your motherfucker to “receive”.

Val Kilmer is not only a great actor, but he’s also a fantastic musician and has a brilliant singing voice! His music CD is excellent, and also check out his brilliant performance in “Ten Commandments: The Musical”. More than, Val is one of the kindest people ever to grace this world.

Besides if people aren’t going to bother to even sample Val’s music then how the hell can they possibly judge it and talk about crap like “jumping the shark”. You can’t make comments like that and be taken seriously without having even heard the music.

Firstly, I don’t live online, so it takes me time to get back to people.

Also, Val’s music has not yet been released to the general public in music stores and such, other than the CD demo’s he sold from his website - all proceeds of which went to charity. Val is working on a debut full-length CD to be released hopefully sometime this year, but is current;y busy filming, so I don’t know when the CD will be released.

If you wish to check out Val’s music, you can find it here:

http://www.valkilmer.com/music.html

http://www.valkilmer.com/shop.html

Also, Val was ranked an impressive #32 out of 25,100 rockers on the ReverbNation website, so obviously there are many fans of his music so far. That’s even without having released a full length CD yet. I’m sure that Val’s ranking will be even higher once that has been released.

If you don’t believe me, here’s a note from Val himself.

A NOTE FROM VAL…

March 6, 2008 - Thanks to the listeners, Val is the #32 Rock artist (out of 25,100) on ReverbNation. And he sends the following message…

*** THANKS ALL YOU ROCKERS OUT THERE. MICK AND I ARE REALLY PROUD YOU ALL ARE GETTING SOMETHING OUT OF OUR STUFF. HOPE TO GET SOME MORE OUT TO YOU SOON. MICK ROSSI IS ALSO A SCREEN WRITER AND ACTOR AS WELL AND JUST FINISHED STARRING IN HIS LATEST SCREENPLAY CALLED “222″.
STAY TUNED…. VAL ***

Well that explains the look on the face of the Amoeba sales guy today when I asked if they had Val Kilmers cd.
So Michael does he sing or play guitar? Sounds like he’s part of a band rather then going solo.
Well I will do this Michael when his cd comes out in stores find me here on Screenrant (I’m here everyday) and I will go and get it and give you an honest review…
