November? Alright, thanks, I'll put a reminder somewhere, I've heard the pilot to this show is epic, can't miss that! lol
  • In 1983! Oh, wait, you meant the new V...

That's coming up on November 3rd. You didn't miss anything Ken.
  • Ken J
Wait, did they air this? I want to see the pilot...
  • Elaine
I loved this series when it was shown in the 80s, (I did see some episodes resently and boy dose it now look cheesey) back then ''WOW'', I'd love to see a re-make, with todays movie technology the show would be awesome. The pilot hasn't been shown in the UK, Is it (pilot) on DVD yet?
  • Ken J
    It's a "reimagination" LOL!!

    @Paul

Thank freakin goodness it's not! :-D
  • Thanks for the wrap up / chime in CHIGUY!

My jaw dropped when I saw that WB was trying to pull this stunt with the remake reference. How in blue blazes do you base a show on another show and NOT call it a remake!!??

Unless there was some other, underlying reason... a process that needed to be done that involved this maneuver. Though for the life of me, I don't know what it could be.

@ Paul - Guessing your a bit young. No, this isn't a TV remake of V for Vendetta. Back in the early '80s, "V" was a miniseries about a lizard-like race of alien's that came to Earth claiming to want to help but in actuality to enslave the human race.

I was a kid when it was originally on, but remember liking it and have been looking forward to the remake, so I hope your right Kane.

The shooting hold up is old news. The new news is that it's a completely normal occurrence for a new series still finding its groove and even happened with Grey's Anatomy - a now multi-Emmy Award winning series about to enter season 5 or 6.

The rumour is that the writing team and filming production were getting too close together - no doubt due to the premiere being brought forward from February 2010 to this November - and putting filming on hold allows the series to avoid rushed scripts and basically becoming average well before it rightfully should.

    Makes sense to me.
  • And history repeats itself once again. Kenneth Johnson's original miniseries (and followup miniseries) were pretty tightly crafted, but when it came to the spinoff series, it quickly devolved into a mindless, implausible space-soap-opera. Perhaps the concept itself only works as a short form project.

So I am not really interested but is this a TV remake of V for Vendetta?
  • hud
    i ment to say
the fact that the episodes fallowing the pilot arnt as good as the pilot doesnt shock me because of the reviews of the pilot.

E! Online rated the pilot episode "on a scale of 1 to 10, we give it an 11. V is the best pilot we've seen in, well, forever." and another
Seat42F rated the pilot episode A+, applauding its cast and effects and naming it one of the best pilots in years.
these are the only reviews ive seen
