@Duane

Connery is also my favorite Bond, big time. I do think that Craig comes closer than any of the others who've portrayed the character to capturing what Connery brought to the role in the first couple of films, before it started getting a bit campy.

I did also like Lazenby in the role and wouldn't have minded seeing him do at least one more Bond film, but I thought Dalton was too "sensitive," Moore was too campy and Brosnan just didn't work for me because he almost played with too much of a furrowed brow.

I would have preferred Brosnan more if he had brought a bit more of the personality from Remington Steele to the role.

I love the Bond films. Sean Connery is my favorite and the best Bond ever. Roger Moore did very good in seven films. George Lazenby did good even in one film. He should have stayed in the series after Bond 7 ONHMSS. Timothy Dalton did fine in two Bond films. Pierce Brosnan did good too in four films. Daniel Craig did okey in the last Bond film, Casino Royale, but nobody does it better than Sean Connery. The best Bond film I've watched was number 3, Goldfinger. I can't wait for number 22 to show in theaters. I would love to be the next man to have the role of 007 when Daniel is done with the series. As long as there are Bond books by different authors, there will always be Bond movies to make, and everyone will remember the name, Bond, James Bond.

I've always loved Bond and read the books, but for me Casino Royale was up a level on everything before, and I do mean everything. I really liked Brosnan as Bond and enjoyed those movies, but since Royale I've seen his ones and found them almost cheesy in comparison.
Love Bond movies but never felt compelled to buy them, although often on tv in the UK. However I am going to buy Royale, at some point. It was just an excellent movie and Craig was great. I saw it yesterday and the chase with the bombmaker is fantastic, and yet the ending, where he faces off with the guards, was the perfect climax.

The card scene was definitely the most boring part of the film and I noted that in my review. I don't know how World Poker Tour on TV could be so much more exciting than a poker scene in a Bond movie. :-)

Liked the chase scene.
Hated the card scenes.
Still trying to forget the torture scene.

Casino Royale is easily the best Bond film. I was skeptical about Craig until I saw him. He nailed the role perfectly. Can't wait for Solace. I dig the title too.

Sorry, Jim, I'm with Rasta on this one: Best Bond since, and most similar to, Connery.

Craig is the best Bond since Connery.

I enjoyed Brosnan as Bond ; he pulled off the suave swagger stuff rather well but he never seemed all that tough ( or scary).

Craig ( like Connery before him ) does the tuxedo stuff very well and is ( in my opinion ) very believable at the tough guy stuff.
I loved Casino Royale , although I felt that movie stumbled a bit in the final third of the story , way too much emotional chit chatty crap. However , everything else about the film was soooo good that I still loved it .
I'm quite eager to see Craig get back to being 007 !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I don't think its possible for this film to suck.
Great news that's he's on board for 5 more films. Wow.

So we know what Quantum stands for but it still makes no sense to me?.....
Unless Solice is a location or town???

Sweet. I'm really looking forward to this one and the one that follows. Seems like each movie will bring us closer to the classic and well known Bond from the 60s.
