@Andy S
I believe they still are planning on eventually doing a Magneto movie. But Marvel has nothing to do with it. FOX owns the character, I believe. At any rate, the proposed Magneto movie was supposed to deal with Erik's tragic past growing up in some sort of concentration camp. Basically chronicling his life growing up as a good guy and ending with his switch to the opposing side. So if you think about it, it wont really be a movie following the views of a villain the whole way through. It'll just be a movie about a man whom eventually becomes a villain, and maybe only get to the villain part with the last 30 mins.

Now if they changed the plot a little, just briefly mention his tragic past. They could focus on his future fighting the xmen and generally being a bad dude. Now that would be cool!

I actually like the idea of this movie. I also like that it's being handled by an indie company, so maybe it won't be commercially dumbed down to get the major audiences. I'm curious to see how they do this. I might have to see if I can find that comic book and check it out.

@Deadpool, didn't Marvel toy with the idea of a Magneto movie?

Actually i know quite a few ppl that like the 3rd season of heroes. The second season however, was definately lacking and i think that was just due to the strike.

Yes, please. It'd be pretty fun to see a new twist to things. With the hero dynamic, it's always "save the people!" but villains actually get to have fun doing what they do best, which varies from petty crimes to breeding killer hybrids and unleashing them on unsuspecting civilians. Needless to say, I'm curious to see what happens with this.

Yes, I am ready for another movie all about a bad guy. This actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Never heard of this comic before, but I like the premise.

I guess I'm the only one interested in hearing the tales of villains. I'd love to see a major movie following an A list villain from Marvel or DC. I think there are enough villains that are complex enough for their own movie. That would certainly look cool, and I bet people would be surprised how many people turn out for a movie like that.
