I know about the mystique and the experiential nature of Cloverfield. But there's something just wrong about a movie where you don't see the main subject clearly--until a month later, as a toy. Adrian-yes, reminds me of a bat too. But mostly, it looks deformed and just doesn't "compute." That's good, it means it's truly alien. Not sure the crossed eye look is not silly. What's with the stain around Miss Liberty's head? Is that blood? Cerebral fluid? What did the French stuff her with? Is it sweet cream? Was she a giant pastry all this time? Wow, Heath, thanks.
