Kimmy Schmidt is back, and as unbreakable as ever. After the success of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 1, Netflix quickly renewed the comedy series – starring Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski – for a further two seasons. The simplistic nature of the TV show, combined with its wickedly funny humor and great acting, makes Kimmy Schmidt all the easier to binge watch. As a result, it feels as though it’s been a long wait for season 2 to arrive, but that wait is almost done – with the premiere of season two only a month away, at the time of writing this.

So far, we’ve only had a brief teaser ahead of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2’s arrival on Netflix. However, now a full trailer has dropped online, giving a far better hint of what we can expect from the show in the episodes that lie ahead. (Hint: Tituss is still fabulous.) Give it a watch, below.

With the tagline “Shes’s making the world a #hashbrown Kimmier place,” Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-creator Tina Fey has promised that we can expect more of the same family friendly humor that made season 1 so enjoyable, as Kimmy continues to adjust to life in New York in season 2. As we see in the trailer above, this includes searching for a new job after Jacqueline Vorhees (Krakowski) left at the end of season 1. Jacqueline is back though, because the show wouldn’t be the same without her, and seemingly still pushing ahead with her divorce.

Kimmy continues to demonstrate a certain naivety to the world around her, especially when it comes to dating. As always, she turns to her roommate Tituss for advice which may or may not be a wise thing to do. Kimmy also, as she reminds us in this trailer, has hope, and it is this upbeat, happy outlook that makes Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt such a jewel in Netflix’s original programming schedule.

As well as the humor, viewers find an affinity with Kimmy. As the theme song says: “Females are strong as hell” and while Kimmy might not always be the first to understand the world around her, she always digs deep, comes out fighting, and still finds time to watch bunny and kitty videos on the internet. What’s not to love?

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 will premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2016.
