The summer 2012 movie season kicked off in a big way this past weekend with The Avengers – racking up a record breaking $207 million domestic opening weekend box office haul. While you can read our review of The Avengers, hear us talk about the film in a special edition of the Screen Rant Underground podcast, as well as chat about the movie in our Avengers spoilers discussion – we’re already looking forward to what the rest of the summer has to offer movie-lovers.
In honor of our favorite season for film, we’re continuing the tradition of crafting one big all-encompassing sneak peek at the summer blockbuster schedule with an Ultimate 2012 Summer Movie Trailer (which you can find above).
In prior years, our intrepid friend Mike Eisenberg edited-together footage from the most anticipated films in the upcoming release slate – creating both the Ultimate 2010 Summer Movie Trailer and Ultimate 2011 Summer Movie Trailer. This year, Mike has been keeping busy with his own film, Stitches (you can find out more about the film at the Tall Tale Productions Facebook page) - so we’ve handed mash-up duties over to fellow video editor extraordinaire Chris Molinaro.
In the Ultimate 2012 Summer Movie Trailer, you’ll see plenty of highly-anticipated releases including The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Prometheus, and more.
As mentioned, check out the video at the top of the page (if you haven’t already) as well as the full list of included movies (and their respective release dates) below.

Overall, a pretty solid line-up this summer with some especially high-profile film releases. Of course, the trailer itself isn’t all-inclusive so for the full listing of movie releases this summer check out our Summer 2012 Movie Preview article – which contains info on a number of other buzz-worthy projects.
We have some other cool video content ideas in the pipeline but, in the meantime, make sure to tell all your friends about this latest Screen Rant trailer mash-up!

I’m going broke this summer! Better take out that 2nd mortgage
Holy crap, I don’t think I’ll be able to leave the theater in June, might as well rent out a room inside one!! Piranha 3DD, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Prometheus, Brave, and G.I. Joe Retaliation all in one month, wow…
This trailer manages to create
a greater interest in seeing the
films included than most actual
trailers for the films themselves.
Chris Molinaro meets the challenge
with some movie magic of his own.
word!
Seconded.
This makes me want to go see all these movies, even if some of these movies dont look that great
Cheers Chris.
Great job.
Man already saw The Avengers and now I gotta see; Dark Shadows, The Dictator, Battleship, Men in Black 3, Snow White and the Huntsman, Prometheus, Abraham Lincoln, Brave, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, GI Joe, Spider-Man, Savages, Ted, The Dark Knight Rises, The Bourne Legacy, and Total Recall. Man I’m gonna be losing some money.

-Ted(Maybe looks funny)
-Dark Knight Rises
-Total Recall(Maybe…Maybe)
-The Expendables II
That’s it…
Nice! good job!
Excellent…
Movies I’m DEFINITELY going to watch:
Snow White and the Huntsman
Prometheus
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Magic Mike
Ice Age: Continental Drift
The Dark Knight Rises
Total Recall
The Expendables 2
Lawless
skyfall
Skyfall isn’t out until November. We’ll make sure to include it in our Ultimate Winter 2012 Movie Trailer… if that turns out to be an actual thing.
MAKE IT SO!!!
Disney’s Brave doesn’t appeal to me like when I saw Wall e and Up trailers. Since last years’ Cars 2, I think Pixar is running out of ideas, but they had a very good run over the years.
I hop Men in black 3 would be like MIB 1. TDKR looks like it will have stiff competition at the box office.
Cars 2 was still a good movie (better than any of the Madagascar or Ice Age movies anyway). And Brave looks fantastic. Pixar is still ruling champion
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Glad you like it.
In order of anticipation (for me personally)
1. Dark Knight Rises
2. Brave
3. Spiderman
4. Prometheus
5. Moonrise Kingdom
6. Expendables 2
7. GI Joe 2
8. Abramham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
9. Lawless
10. (tie)Total Recall and Bourne Identity
(Avengers is excluded because i have already seen it, twice. Last week it wouldve placed second)
there are other movies i wouldnt mind seeing, but these are the once i’m not gonna miss
Awesome! Love the del Toro bit at 0:27, that alone makes me want to watch Savages.
Great Job Chris, you got my vote.
Awesome.
Great job, Chris.
Like the music.
I would have left the Adam Sandler crap off but otherwise a great trailer.
Thank goodness I work at a movie theatre without free movies id be broke
Great Trailer!!!
First time I’ve watched one of these, and I gotta say…it was pretty friggin awesome, lol! You guys are great; this is my favorite site on the web…
Just saw the pre-theatrical release of “Apartment 143″ on Xbox. Scariest documentary style movie I’ve seen.
