Those of you following news and updates for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will no doubt have seen some of the set images showing some of the new vehicles added for the sequel. Many of the pics featured the “Twins” which are two new unique additions to the Autobot cast taking the vehicle forms of the Chevy Beat and Chevy Trax concept designs. This of course, is because Transformers is partly a big GM advertisement.
Activision, the company behind The Official Transformers video games, released some new promotional images on their website and these included our first ever look at the two brother bots.

The first Transformers movie game was horrible and very cheaply made like most movie tie-in games but that’s off topic so take a look at the new bots and see what you think:
Believe it or not, they even look less like the cartoon Transformers than the robots featured in the first Transformers live action movie. Their eyes look really off and they have disproportionate bodies. I really hope they don’t come off as unintelligent characters, childish and goofy – which is what I get from looking at these pictures.
Here is what they look like in vehicle mode on set:
The two brothers are unique in that they can combine together in vehicle mode to form such wonderful super vehicles as a rumored ice cream truck. That’s no joke. However, it was also later rumored that the infamous ice cream truck could be a Decepticon. These two new additions join the original Autobot cast along with Jolt, Arcee and Sideswipe.
In other exciting Transformers news, the teaser trailer is finally being released tomorrow and we have some more details on this and the upcoming full length trailer thanks to director Michael Bay. On his official site, Bay said the following yesterday:
The Super Bowl spot is coming Sunday in the third quarter (few minutes into the quarter slot). The spot will be online a few minutes after that – The full length teaser trailer will only be on Friday the Thirteenth. It will not hit the internet until a week later. The Teaser really only teases stuff – I’m holding so much stuff back from the final trailers because I personally hate going to movies where you have seen it all.

The summary is unusually long on this one, lol.
But it’s not like this will help GM since they will lose money for every car sold anyhow, thanks to our great labor unions driving the country into the ground. Everyone say “thank you labor unions!” I don’t know why GM bother to sponsor anything. They should have filed for bankruptcy when they had the chance. At least then their contracts with the labor unions would be voided and they can actually start earning money. But of course our current Congress is in the unions’ back pocket so they rushed it out to them just to prevent that from happening…
The green one looks too cartoony with that color scheme. And their eyes are definitely odd
They’re definitely gonna be small, looks like they might even be smaller then Jazz. I just can’t wait to see the trailer, it’s airing in the 3rd Quarter? That sucks, oh well, the game should be good enough to keep my attention until then.

Besides the eyes that look incredibly goffy I think the bots look pretty good. I havent been disapointed so far, guess I gotta wait for the trailer at the superbowl though

I don’t get why they just can’t take 2-3 of the cartoon characters and put them in the movie. Where’s Hound and Sunstreaker? Why twins and why so many tiny vehicles for the autobots?
Because small cars are all the rage now. I wouldn’t be caught dead driving one of those little craps no matter how many miles per gallon they get…
