Twilight is crap. It promotes male dominance, has one of the most disgusting sexual displays ever that teaches women to cover their injuries from an abusive partner and not tell anyone about them, promotes inter-species relationships… just the tip of the iceberg.

One of the worst influences I’ve ever read.

Honestly, I dislike the Twilight series. Not hate, just dislike. I actually tried reading them, before everyone started freaking out about them. I only ever liked Jacob, and still do. But in the words of my favorite author Stephen King, “Stephanie Meyer cannot write.” Sure, the ideas are pretty good, I just think that they could have been written in a much higher-class fashion.

Returning to the topic at hand; I can neither find the “Nocturne” book online, nor can I find anyone who’s seen/read it. I, too, think Ms. Scott’s claim is bogus.

I think that Twlight is a piece of vampire crap. All it is another vampire story about a girl loving a vampire and the vampire wanting her blood then protecting her from other vampires then walking from her so she can be safe. I mean, why such an obessiveness from a regualar story. There are plenty other stories to be obessive about such as Pendragon or The Theif Lord or even StarGirl. But no. Since there is a guy who plays Edward who is hot and pleasing to the preppy tennagers eye’s everybody goes crazy. Guess what Twilight? You’re a piece of preppy teenage nothing special about CRAP.

Twilight’s not the most original thing there is what with the forbidden romance, and vampires thing. So it’s no surprise that a few fingers have gotten pointed at her. But the people who point the fingers have no right to do so because the demon-baby scene thing is the most cliched scene so many people keep using in their work.
So no-no to the finger pointing. It’s a little thing called originality that so little people have come to know.

Yea, the complicated pregnancy scene, its just ridiculous to assume its one person’s work. If anyone has seen a REGULAR birthing process, they’ve pretty much all got the scene down to a tee. I’ve seen other books suprisingly similar to the Nocturne book that were made YEARS before she was even BORN!! Who does she think she is saying its HER work? She should be charged for the same thing from authors in the past. I think she needs to step down and look in the mirror before she starts pointing fingers.

meyer is bad at storytelling, but she has “heart” that’s why her books sells. It isnt plagiarism, its a coincidence. Imagination is universal.

Twilight fans the cast of Twilight will be on the FOX Teen Choice awards tomarrow night. I’m not sure what time the show starts in all markets but they will be on late in the second hour.
They’re acceptance is something to see its pretty awkward.

What a shame. When ever someone does something notably well, someone has has to knock it or try to get a piece of it. Twilight ( and it’s series) may not be the “best” written ever but it caught the attention of millions of teenagers and adults alike.
To bad instead of being upset that your kids are reading these books you can’t be excited that they are reading at all!

This reminds me of that whole Mother of the Matrix debaucle. Honestly, I hate Twilight. Obviously Ms. Scott does too. That’s the only reason she’d attempt to get the book pulled from shelves and the movie never made, rather than just demand a ton of money.
