Twilight Breaking Dawn Comic Con Panel Comic Con 2011: Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 Panel

Arguably one of the most anticipated panels of Comic-Con International, as indicated by the line-up of over a hundred fans camped out overnight from the day prior and a few dozen for several days prior, is that of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Summit Entertainment is hosting another infamous Hall H presentation which kicks off the movie side of things for this year’s con and Screen Rant is live-blogging the panel as it happens.

Pulling a Warner Bros. tactic in splitting the last installment of their prized franchise (see: Harry Potter) into two for double the financial fun, the first half of the adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s last vampire-themed novel is set to hit theaters this fall. This latest Twilight installment, directed by franchise newcomer Bill Condon (Dreamgirls), takes the characters and audiences deeper into the relationships of the principal cast as the story delves into darker themes and more adult-oriented happenings. Readers of the novel know what we mean so let’s move on to today’s surprises.

2009′s The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘s panel, although quite awkward, saw director Chris Wietz take the stage, joined by cast members Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene. There are no panelists publicly announced yet but from what we know, this is a panel Twilight fans do not want to miss. Here’s the official description of the presentation, followed by our live blog which begins as the panel is scheduled to begin at 11:15am PST.

Summit Entertainment presents a sneak peek at the highly anticipated next chapter of The Twilight Saga. This is a must see for fans interested in the story’s final chapters. You’ll see exclusive footage from The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 and be treated to a filmmaker and cast Q&A session providing details on the first half of the epic two-part finale.

Be sure to check out the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 trailer and check back to Screen Rant for more later when a new trailer and/or footage is available online to share. And follow all of Screen Rant’s live Comic-Con coverage here.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits theaters on November 18th, 2011. Part 2 will arrive a year later on November 16th.

  1. I would like to highlight the fact that screenrant has an article about the Twilight “saga” but does NOT yet have a review of Captain America: First Avenger.

    • @ Pinto,

Our own Vic Holtreman and Kofi Outlaw are still in there private Comic-Con screening for Captain America as I type this. Review will be up later today.

      • Good news Rob. Won’t sway me either way I’m seeing it tomorrow night regardless, but I always enjoy the reviews here.

  2. This panel is a BIG JOKE. Shame on Comic Con.

  3. And the first word out of Comic-con is TWILIGHT! ARrrgh. Man do I feel sorry for Rob. Someone drew the short stick for panel choices. :)

  4. Shallow questions. Shallow answers.

I guess it kind of matches the shallow nature of whatever passes for a narrative in this BS franchise.

  5. I’m still trying to figure out how the guy who directed Dreamgirls could lower his standards and direct this mess.

  6. Great article. For more on the Twilight panel and Comic Con 2011, check out:
