Summit Entertainment is bringing The Twilight Saga back to Comic-Con again with the entire cast for Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final installment of the series based on the Stephenie Meyer vampire novels and the very first film-specific panel of this year’s show.

Kristen Stewart [KS], Robert Pattinson [RP], Taylor Lautner [TL], Peter Facinelli [PF], Elizabeth Reaser [ER], Kellan Lutz [KL], Nikki Reed [NR], Jackson Rathbone [JR], Ashley Greene [AG] and Mackenzie Foy [MF] will come together on stage to share exclusive new footage for the film and answer fan questions.

If you’re attending the convention, you can check out the panel yourself at 12:45 PM Pacific Time in Hall H. If not, keep it parked right here and for the latest Twilight news, brought to you LIVE by Screen Rant.

1:25PM:
The entire Twilight cast is on stage expression their fave moments so we’ll take the time to play a little catch-up…

The panel opened open with heartfelt condolences to the Comic-Con attendee and Twilight fan who passed away two nights ago. We’re promised more special guests and more footage than any Twilight panel in years past.

Moderator Eric Moro (Wikia) introduces the three franchise stars first: TL, then RP then KS. Mackenzie Foy also comes on stage. Fans are losing it.

Author/producer Stephanie Meyer then joined them.

Director Bill Condon is scoring the film in London and couldn’t be here so he recorded a special video for fans in Hall H.

First video picks up right where Part 1 ends off. We’re going to watch the first seven minutes of Part 2.

Fans continue to go wild.

Bella’s senses are enhanced. She can see further, smell and hear everything around her.

She hugs Edward not knowing her own strength and they then go hunting to get her thirst under control.

Bella almost attacks a mountain climber before Edward stops her. She then preys upon a deer before a mountain lion gets in the way and Bella attacks it. Then we meet Jacob and the clip comes to an end much to the dismay of fans.

1:34PM:
Now it’s time for Moderator questions:
KS is happy to finally break Bella out and be a vampire.
RP is asked about how to approach role differently. He says Edwards constantly being surprised by Bella but even with the change to becoming a vampire as well, there’s strangely even less.
TS says he has a weight lifted of his character’s shoulders and Jacob is happy. He’s also impressed and complimenting Kristen.
Now for young Mackenzie Foy (MF). She talks about playing games and having fun on set.

1:36PM:
Peter Facinelli [PF], Elizabeth Reaser [ER], Kellan Lutz [KL], Nikki Reed [NR], Jackson Rathbone [JR], Ashley Greene [AG] and Jackson Rathbone [JR] are also all on stage and asked about their fave memories.

1:37PM:
PF’s fave memories are the fan events – seeing passionate fans. Second memory is bonding with cast.
KL says finally kissing his wife jokingly, and says it’s a dream project.

The others say they’re still too close to the project, that most of the films still blend together as one big experience. Some express emotion about the franchise coming to an end.

1:38PM:
What villain would you dress up as?
KS says the evil queen from Snow White.
RP says he wants to dress up as one of the crowd…then realized we’re not villains. He’d dress up as Zod from Superman. Good answer.

1:39PM:
From fan question about what advice they’d give:
RP’s advice: “Keep it in your pants.” Panel and fans lose it in laughter.

1:40PM:
Kristen Stewart is very confident, as is RP – you can notice their evolution over the years doing these Comic-Con panels.

1:41PM:
Taylor’s fave scene – telling Bella he’s imprinted on her baby. This was also KS’ fave scene to shoot. They say it’s incredibly funny,

1:42PM:
Fave concerts? RP says Woodstock. KL says N’Sync. JR says ’70s Rolling Stones. MF says Adele.

1:43PM:
For those wondering, the scenes showing were fun and totally continue the flow of Breaking Dawn – Part 1. The effects of the hunt and jumping/running are better but still look a little similar to Smallville…

1:44PM:
Fan question for the cast: Are you sad The Twilight Saga is coming to an end?
KS: it’s bittersweet but happy this four-year epic journey is over.

1:45PM:
Fan question from young man – he says he’s going to have a “bro moment with Taylor” and fans love it.
Fan says TL inspired to lose weight, nearly 100 pounds and the crowd offers a loud applause.
Fan asks if TL what else he does to keep fit and whether or not he wants to cheat:
TL says he plays a ton of sports and he can live a little comfortably now that they are done shooting.

1:46PM:
Fan questions are over and MORE special guests are here! We’re meeting ALL the vampires from ALL the covens. The stage is becoming packed.

2:05PM:
By the end of it there were 30+ Breaking Dawn cast members on the stage – great photo opp.

2:07PM:
Unfortunately, there was no more footage to be shown but Stephanie Meyer did have a little surprise for fans… the first ever footage for The Host, introduced by director Andrew Niccol.

2:11PM:
Without giving anything away at the moment – we saw 5-10 minutes. The film looked visually impressive and very stylstic. Saoirse Ronan steals the screen as always. The film is succees in being very eerie. Look for more of that before The Host releases in March 2013.

2:12PM:

  1. From what I heard the soundtrack is supposed to feature Linkinpark, Muse, Paramore, Amber Danz, Carter Burwell, Mutemath, The Collective Soul, Iron and Wine and Perry Farrell. Should be a great film

    • My name’s Rob, too. I can’t see a Twilight film being considered great though.

  2. Just saw this movie and I have mixed feelings…happy because I was very happy with the film (even though I went in kind of nervous as I wasn’t thrilled with part 1) but sad because it’s over. They sure went out on top, with the best action scenes, the best pacing, and the icing on the cake was that this was the best out of the many great Twilight soundtracks, even better than New Moon, which had what I thought was an unbeatable lineup of bands like Sea Wolf, Deathcab and Muse.

Breaking Dawn Part 2′s music lives up to and exceeds the reputation of the soundtracks before it. “Everything and Nothing” by The Boom Circuits and “The Antidote” by St. Vincent were my favorites, but I liked every song I heard.

With how hurting Hollywood is for new movie ideas, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see another remake of this series in less than a decade – look at how quickly they decided to make another Spiderman! – but no matter what, I don’t think they’ll ever top this original series and I’m glad it went out in style.
