Regular TV has sucked for the longest time, ever since the very first Reality Show. The whole Reality show concept has almost totally destroyed Regular TV, it won’t take much more to make it completed non-watchable. Until they remove all the crap like American Idol, Dances with fools, Big Fat slobs ect….regular TV will be Personta Non Grata. The only shows that are worth watching on regular TV are 24 and Fringe, PERIOD! And, I will also include my other favoite show, that appears on FX is Sons of Anarchy! Those three shows are the ONLY ones that I watch on TV Period. I record them, just so I have them until they are released in a DVD Box set. AGAIN! Regular and Cable TV has really gone down the tubes since Generation Xtra Stupid has made it unwatchable with all the Reality TV Crapola. They not only watch the Reality TV garbage, but also tripe like Glee, one tree nobodys, Grey’s Anatomy yada yada yada…And, they’re also have the once truly great History channel with shows like Ice Road truckers, Axmen and the sort. AHHHHHHHHH!!! Just who is making these descisions? Let’s end great shows like The Sopranos, Deadwood, Rome, The Shield… And let’s cater to the twenty nobodies…Thank God they have released all my favorite old shows on DVD, which I now own a collection that rivals the Library of Congress, and I can make my own programing. With Regular TV’s track record of canceling only the best shows, I expect Fringe, Sons of Anarchy and 24 to be canceled very soon and then I can leave Regular TV behind for good, or until they get people that know what they’re doing in to run things, and go back to cater TV to the people who pay they’re salaries, and they’re the people with all the money, my generation…The Greatest Generation, the Baby Boomers. Until they go back to catering to our wants and needs, they can kiss my ass!

I love Chuck and I would way rather watch it than house. It really sucks that Terminator is cancelled, I love the cast! I was so excited when Joss came back, I hope Dollhouse makes it! I must admit a small part of why I first watched these shows was because of Firefly! I think Joss Whedon is a god!

The Unit started out great, Season 1 was some of the best non-pay tv I’ve seen in a while. But season 2 got dumb, especially the finally episodes and the premier of season 3, that was utter retarded garbage. Season 3 wasn’t that great from the few episodes I saw of it, but will rent them to watch the rest just to finish it up.

Flashpoint was ok for the first 2 episodes, but after a while, it got a bit repetitive and retarded, they seemed to sympathize WAY too much with the criminals. I want to see more SWAT action, not drama about some criminal that’s not really a criminal blah blah blah…

Plus some of the characters really sucked, like that “new guy” with the blonde hair. He was a completely not believable character, pure hollywood. The older team leader guy (the primary sniper), the bald one (sorry, I’ve forgotten all of the names by now) is probably the most believable and respectable character from the episodes I’ve seen…

Karen, I believe it was let go… which bugs the crap out of me. The next best thing that might fill the void is FlashPoint… It’s like THE UNIT, but more domestically based.

The thing about the Unusuals is that it is a good take on the usual cop show except they were juggling both broad humor and serious drama. If they took the formula of Scrubs then the Unusuals would have worked out except when watching it I felt that it was still trying to find its voice and get to that juggling act.
And that is the problem right, I may not work on TV–well not at the moment, but I do know that with the pilot and first few episodes you have to let the audience know that this is the formula for the show. Then later on you can tweak it, add some drama, comedy, etc. But first let people know this is the blueprint for the show.
Like Chuck for example, that pilot ep, you got the idea what this show is about. Funny, charming, geeky, and with espionage action. Right? I’ve only seen the pilot but at least I got where it was coming from and I liked it. Same with Pushing Daisies, which is still one of THE best pilots I have seen!

Budget cuts may work to Chucks’ advantage. I enjoyed the third season, but didn’t think it was as good as the previous ones overall. Certain episodes were great. He had almost no interaction with the Buymore and was always on a mission. What made the first and second season better was his having to juggle his relationships, ‘normal’ job, and his spy life. I think the cuts will bring the show back to that dynamic. At worst, they have time to do a proper series finale.

As for Terminator, I liked some eps, didn’t care for others. I eventually decided to DVR most eps, because of the oddball act breaks. And the three minute recaps.

Oddly, if FOX does bring Dollhouse back, in my view, they should also do the same for Terminator, with the same proposal. Better yet, Scy Fy should step on up and inquire.

That is GREAT news about Chuck, although I am wondering why only 13 episodes. Probably to finish out the series. I have a feeling that Chuck’s sister and Awesome are going to be gone…on their honeymoon or something. Pretty much the entire crew at the Buy More will be gone. I love this show, but I think that NBC is going to make it suck on purpose so they can cancel it.

Also, disappointed that T:TSCC has been cancelled. I was really starting to like that show. It NEEDS to be picked up by SyFy (or maybe even SPIKE?). It won’t be though. ***sigh***

I tried watching 2 episodes of The Unusuals. I just could not get into the show.

I have a feeling we are going to be inundated with a ton of so-called “reality” shows. Blech.

Anyone notice that the shows with former Firefly cast members are struggling or canceled: Dollhouse, Terminator, and Chuck?
