Since the Fall TV season has kicked off with new series starting up, I thought I’d start paying attention again – but the numbers were rather disappointing for the week ending September 13th.
Football dominated the top 25 in ratings, taking spot numbers 1-4, 6 & 11.
Glee premiered at 18th with 7.5 million estimated viewers.
The highest ranked scripted drama in the top 25 was a repeat of NCIS on CBS. It landed 8th in the list with 11.2 million estimated viewers.
What were the top 7 shows? All I’m going to say is that the “reality” of the ratings charts can be rather sobering.

Um, where are the ratings Bruce?
Looks like Bruce did more of a summary this week than an ordered list of ratings.

Is that what you’re paying him for? J/K
HEY GANG,
My ratings source only listed the top 25 in network TV #’s.
1/2 those are reality tv shows.
what’s left are comedies – not quite our regular genre of coverage and what’s left are mostly police drama repeats still.
Sorry.
@Bruce
No cares buddy, just kidding around on a sunday night.
Urg… Arg!
Noooo, House is going to start in 16 minutes and I’m going to miss it… :’(
Dammit, stupid Left 4 Dead, I played that until late at night and then was so tired I fell asleep forgetting to start the torrent for House!!! Now I have to download it tonight and watch it late tonight or tomorrow, dammit…
Well, I actually watched the last few episodes of Dexter Season 3 at a friend’s house before going home to play Left 4 Dead. Pretty good season, the last “boss fight” (lol) was a bit lacking though, although it was nice to see Dexter do some hand to hand stuff for once.
I loved the part when Vince gets owned by Dexter, LMAO!!
Have they announced for sure if they are doing a season 4??
