With the majority of television shows on hiatus, Monday night viewing can be a bit slow. Fortunately, Fox, Syfy and NBC help round out our Monday TV picks with all new episodes of your favorite series.

In back-to-back episodes, Alcatraz has a pair of violent brothers and a crazed inmate appearing in the modern world; Being Human sees Josh’s sister is trying to help him get over Nora, while Aidan tries to solve his problem of the orphan vampire; Lost Girl finds Bo confronting a new Fae adversary; and Michael and Julia continue to have drama in Smash.

Alcatraz – “The Ames Bros.” & “Sonny Burnett” Preview

In back-to-back all-new episodes, two of Alcatraz’s most violent brothers, Herman (guest star Travis Aaron Wade) and Pinky (guest star Graham Shiels) Ames, who were notorious for nearly escaping in 1963, find something mysteriously amiss when they return to Alcatraz in the present day. In the second installment, Sonny Burnett (guest star Theo Rossi), a man with an incredible dark side who became ultra-violent during his stint at Alcatraz, returns.

Being Human – “I’ve Got You Under Your Skin” Preview

Aidan struggles to get the Orphan Vampire problem under control, while Josh’s sister tries to shake him from his post-Nora funk.

 

Lost Girl – “Vexed” Preview

The murder of a death row inmate leads Bo into a confrontation with a powerful new Fae adversary.

Smash – “Let’s Be Bad” Preview

Karen (Katharine McPhee) finds a new use for her acting talents as she joins Dev (Raza Jaffrey) at a high-powered government party. The drama between Michael (guest star Will Chase) and Julia (Debra Messing) heats up, as Eileen (Anjelica Huston) and Tom’s (Christian Borle) ambitious assistant Ellis (Jaime Cepero) forge an alliance. Ivy (Megan Hilty) senses trouble in her relationship with Derek (Jack Davenport).
