Even if FRINGE were just 2nd gen copy of X Files, it is still far better than 90% of network TV. AND John Noble, Lance Reddick & Joshua Jackson are excellent. X-Files did not have a premise based on an Alt. Earth either, and if the writing is up to the task, it can work. BREAKING BAD, Sons of Anarchy, 30 Rock, The Office are all shows w/well above average writing—hopefully more will hone to those standards, where I can’t predict every line of dialogue or know the ending before the first commercial break. . ..

Breaking Bad is the BEST show on TV, hands down.

After that, I’d have to throw in Lost and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I’ve seen a couple of True Blood eps – it just doesn’t get it for me.

I never cared for the X-files, but I like Fringe quite a bit.

Fringe, True Blood, NCIS LA, that’s original,,,

Fringe (what a crap show), everytime I see a billboard or ad for that show I Cringe, not Fringe. Such a bad rip off of X-Files its Laughable,,,
Showtime and HBO, are like islands in a sea of crap.

I was a really big fan of Alien Nation back in the day,but I’m so over the edge sick of all of these remakes/reboots.

It’s just so unbelievable that no one wants to take a chance on something original.That’s why I’m a big fan of the show Breaking Bad.they decided to do a story with a very atypical setting with somewhat very unique circumstances,which in essence,make the show original.

We really need more of that,whether for good or bad.Creativity just doesn’t seem to really exist in the t.v. world anymore.
