From early reports by people who were lucky enough to see it at Sundance, the horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs. Evil appears to fully live up to expectations. It’s no surprise really - if you haven’t watched the red band trailer or hilarious clips from the movie, I suggest you click HERE and HERE.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil was written and directed by Eli Craig, whose only other directing credit is The Tao of Pong. The film stars Alan Tudyk (Serenity) as Tucker and Tyler Labine (Flyboys) as Dale - two good old backwoods boys trying to enjoy Tucker’s newly-acquired summer cabin. Unfortunately, the two have been stereotyped by a group of typical horror film college kids and, after a misunderstanding with one of their friends (Katrina Bowden), begin watching in horror as the kids start killing themselves off in horrible (and hilarious) ways.

Today we have some new images from the movie, as captured by Canadian photographer Dan Power, who has given us permission to reproduce and post them for our readers to enjoy.  If you like high quality photography, movie related or otherwise, then head over to his website (click HERE) and check out his other work.

For now, however, enjoy the images below. Click on each one for a larger version.

I’m hoping that Tucker & Dale vs. Evil will get picked up for a wide theater release so I can watch it on a big screen. This is one film that I absolutely do not want to go directly to DVD. Nothing is better than a good horror comedy, as anyone who watched Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland or Severance can attest to.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil also stars Jesse Moss, Philip Granger, Brandon Jay McLaren, Christie Laing, Chelan Simmons, and Travis Nelson. It was produced by Thomas Augsberger, Albert Klychak and Morgan Jurgenson, who also co-wrote the script with Craig.

What did you think of the images from Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and are you hoping to see it if (when) it comes to theaters?
