Too bad they didn't stay true to the book regarding the Queen. I liked her character in the show, but it wasn't necessary to change it up like that. Godric's character was excellent, and I would have loved to see more of him. Someone wrote that Sookie and Bill's relationship was only one of many she has, and I'm hoping they don't change that part at all. Bill is okay in a nice quiet guy next door type of way, but Eric is far more fun and appealing. Liz-glad to hear from a reader of the series. I've enjoyed the creative liberties Ball has taken and really love how he expanded small plot lines in the book and made them into something more. I wasn't crazy however to see the casting for the queen. I have nothing against Wood, she is just a far cry from the 1600? year old 15-year-old that is the Sophie-Anne in the books. I was kind of looking forward to the whole creepy ancient child, instead we get another glamorous 20 something with a campy if unhinged personality. They both create plot points by having emotional and overly erratic behavior coupled with a group of men following them around. We men are single minded and follow our second brain all too often but come on. I think the writers are using these characters as a cop out there are other reasons for guys to do stupid things.
