Thanks to the folks over at First Showing and Filmofilia - who have spent far too much time playing the Tron-associated Space Paranoids online game
– we now have a new collection of Tron Legacy pics for you to check out.
Tron Legacy reunites Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) with his father Kevin (Jeff Bridges), a programmer – and star of the original 1982 Tron – who has been living in a digital reality for the last twenty-five years. Needless to say, CGI and VFX work have come far since the first film, and the look of the Tron world – lightcycles, recognizers, and cyber-discs – reflects the improvement.
These images include that of an older-generation white lightcycle, some conceptual artwork for the Tron Legacy recognizers, and some in-action stills of the steel-blue cyber-suits worn by the inhabitants of Tron.
You can see all that and more in the gallery below:
For those still in need of their Tron Legacy fix for the day, you should check out our extended trailer for the film as well.
Tron Legacy makes its way into regular, 3D, and IMAX theaters in the U.S. on December 17, 2010.
