Now the war against 3d has been lost. So sweet. 120 3d movies now coming out for 2010, 2011, and 2012.

That does worry me that they will think the 3D aspect is enough to pull the punters in and will not bother so much on story and the rest.

A 3D movie which is a really good movie is what we want.

I have to agree wholeheartedly on this. As long as it isn’t done in a gimmicky manner and done more along the lines of just trying to draw us into the world portrayed on screen I think it could be fun.

Ah yes, that’s akin to the “up-close and personal” fight scenes, or the shaky-cam gimmicks that annoy me so much with modern movies.

I’m a fan of 3D, but not when they do the gimmicky “leap at the audience” junk. I like the enhance depth of field and putting the viewer in the movie aspect.

This does seem to be a great fit… better at putting us inside the virtual world.

I’m a big proponent of 3D technology, so this is obviously a good thing in my mind for movies in general.

As for Tron 2, I remember that Tron 2.0 video game being a laugh riot, and some of the conceptual stuff they had shown for a Tron 2 in the past seemed a bit far-fetched for the casual movie goer.
