That does worry me that they will think the 3D aspect is enough to pull the punters in and will not bother so much on story and the rest.

A 3D movie which is a really good movie is what we want.

I have to agree wholeheartedly on this. As long as it isn't done in a gimmicky manner and done more along the lines of just trying to draw us into the world portrayed on screen I think it could be fun.

Ah yes, that's akin to the "up-close and personal" fight scenes, or the shaky-cam gimmicks that annoy me so much with modern movies.

I hear ya.

I'm a fan of 3D, but not when they do the gimmicky "leap at the audience" junk. I like the enhance depth of field and putting the viewer in the movie aspect.

This does seem to be a great fit... better at putting us inside the virtual world.

I'm a big proponent of 3D technology, so this is obviously a good thing in my mind for movies in general.

As for Tron 2, I remember that Tron 2.0 video game being a laugh riot, and some of the conceptual stuff they had shown for a Tron 2 in the past seemed a bit far-fetched for the casual movie goer.
