In just two weeks, Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise will be back on the big screen with the first film in what is supposed to be a new trilogy - assuming it does well at the box office, of course. (And with nothing else releasing that weekend, it almost certainly will.)

In Transformers: Age of Extinction, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet and more return to save a whole new group of humans: There's mechanic Cade (Mark Wahlberg), his daughter, Tessa (Nicola Peltz), and her race car driver boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor). Only this time, the Autobots don't just have a few people to watch over. The whole planet is facing extinction from an ancient, powerful new menace that has set its sights on Earth.

The new Transformers: Age of Extinction international trailer focuses more on this worldly aspect of the film than any of the previous promos. Here we not only see scenes at Cade's farmhouse in Texas, but also a number of fight sequences taking place in Hong Kong, China.

There are also new IMAX and international posters below that reinforce the epic feel from the trailer, one featuring Cade and Grimlock, leader of the Dinobots, standing alongside Optimus Prime, and the other depicting Optimus rising heroically from fire and ash.

While Stanley Tucci's character Joshua represents one villain in the film and is clearly up to no good in this new international trailer, it's not clear yet exactly who the Decpticon-aligned bounty hunter Lockdown is working for as he descends upon Earth.

One thing's for certain, though - Optimus will need all the help he can get, including bonding with Grimlock and maybe even upgrading into his new form, Silver Knight, which has been teased across the web.
