Another day brings yet another collection of photos from the set of director Michael Bay’s third giant robot venture, Transformers 3.  These new images offer a sneak peek at what will surely be one of several sequences from the film that results in the desecration of (actual) real estate property.

The latest in a long line of 3D tentpole pics currently in production, Transformers 3 was shooting on location at Playa Vista in Los Angeles last week when these new photos were taken.

The scene being filmed involves Transformers franchise veterans Shia LaBeouf,  Tyrese Gibson, newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and some military troops, fleeing for their lives as they are pursued by one of the villainous Decepticons.

You can check out the related set photos for this scene below (courtesy of JustJared):

The sequence in question here turns explosive when the Decepticon (um, spoiler?) tips over a building during the course of the chase.  In typical Michael Bay fashion, the Transformers 3 technical crew engineered an elaborate setup composed of a single floor of an office building and two immense hydraulic jacks, in order to tilt the set at an angle for the scene.

Read on for a more detailed description and photo of this mechanical setup:

Full scale model of an office building, flanked by two huge hydraulic jacks that lift one end 30 to 40 feet in the air.  I guess they are going to have a scene with soldiers in there while it is destroyed and collapses.  A moment after this shot, two stuntmen slid down the length of the office floor.  Looked like they were wearing uniforms and had weapons.

So what do you think?  Do you like what you’ve seen of the Transformers 3 production so far? Does the story for the film sound more interesting than Transformers 2?  Let us know in the comments section below.

Transformers 3 arrives in 2D and 3D theaters in the U.S. on July 1st, 2011.
