I hope Transformers 3 will have more flying Decepticions fighting more "rolling" Autobots, I mean, come on, that's the iconic image these two robotic groups have in the cartoons, and I'd like to see that translated in the live action movie. Besides, I think that would help a little bit in letting the audience tell the Decepticons and the Autobots apart.

And perhaps they can stop shooting scenes in the desert. They did that twice already and frankly, the desert shoot-out in the Revenge of the Fallen looked like it was "recycled out-takes" from the first movie.

    Just my two cents.

hmm... bay once said that when he does TF movies..he wants to make them unrelated like saying the sequel would not be like a bridge to the third isntallment...however..after watching ROTF like 30 times since the dvd got out...im begining to see that it is a bridge to this comming third...

i can see why many wanna take a piece on the tomato throws...but i really do enjoyed the movie...

i think many were overhyped with the characters...that when they didnt get any screen time or a dialogue even...they jump.

to me i strongly feel that they will have a bigger role to play in TF 3.

Bay really kept it true to the TF universe...

like in the cartoons...such loop holes were everywhere...but no body seemed to care cause we loved to see our charachter in motion....story was not the factor..
it is what comes next in the scene and what our favourite robots were capable of doing...

in TF2..there is a reason for megs being brought back...he is non then less the main villain...and optimus..killing him and bringing him back to life was really nescessary...im not really keen to see rodimus any time yet...and beside the dude is weak leader...

so now that megatron is functioning...i can really see the becomming of TF3...

i am definately will trail until this movie is out...

we will watch how it will redeem itself..and by then everyone will relate to ROTF...then they will say..ok now i know why TF2 is like that.

bay you are the man as how spielberg said it..he was never wrong!!!...
  • Dale, thats one thing I was hoping to see in Transformers was the return of Barricade. But, maybe we can see him again in this one. And I just hope they don't waste anymore characters.
  • J.Dale
im a big fan of transformers and i hope that micheal bay keeps the saga going becasue they can make good strories to these movies and i hope barricade returns
  • Kantstandya
    agreed
  • Longshanks
    Exactly!

Plus, shallow as you may think Bay's movies are Vic,he has unprecedented access to the U.S. military, that I know he likes to use as much as he can which give his movies at least a hint of authenticity.

I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you that Emmerich does it better.Just look at both director's resumes and ask yourself,if you were forced to sit through a marathon of either director's movies, who would you choose?

    I'll take the Bay collection.
  • Justin
All of you guys that complain yet still buy a ticket to watch bayformers are wasting your breath. The only way to stop Bay is to Not Buy a ticket to watch the movie. That Simple.
  • Between Emmerich and Bay, I have more fun with Bay's film than Emmerichs. Yes, they are empty and hollow, but so are Emmercih's films. And, besides Bay didn't ruin Godzilla.
  • @Longshanks

Frankly I find Bay's "big boom" movies utterly empty and hollow. I'd say Emmerich does better.

    Vic
  • Longshanks
    @ Vic

    I do watch Mythbusters.

The point the I was trying to make is that Bay is the best at big budget, big boom but all his movies from Bad Boys to Transformers have to have that camp factor thrown in almost for no reason at all.

If he were to do a 100% straight movie that didn't have that campyness to it,people wouldn't mind him so much.
  • As long as the films are making money they'll keep on making them. And Transformers 2 make a **** load of money, and I'm sure this one will too.
  • michael
no more sequels please they have gone far enough and parts 1 & 2 were boring enough dont make any more transformers movies
  • The sad thing is that this series is in much need for improvement, and the only thing I can see improving in the third will be the special effects.
  • @Longshanks

If you just want to see stuff blow up just watch Mythbusters.

    Vic
  • M-Cat
    Longshanks

abrams would hook it up and it's probably a good idea to keep the wachowski bros away from the franchise. Can you imagine what Cameron could do with the transformers franchise?
  • Longshanks
I know that everyone hates Bay,but honestly, who blows stuff up better? If only he could avoid the campy, terrible "humor" that he put in the previous installments, then I think the complaints would be a lot less than they are.

The funny thing about it is that I'm sure that everyone who's complained aobut either,or both of the previous movies (myself included) will probably go see this one as well.

    @M-Cat
It would be pretty interesting to see JJ's take on it.I would be on board for that. The Wachowski Bros. shouldn't come anywhere need this franchise though.
  • SIN187UM
Wow you guys sure do like that Hater-ade when it comes to Transformers.
  • JessSayin
If it's a choice of the 'Homey Twins' or Megan Fox, I'll take the twins.

I liked the 2nd better than the first as well. Which, now that I read what I typed is like saying I liked 'Revolutions' over 'Reloaded'. Talk about a no win situation.

(Maybe he'll have Keanu Reeves in Transformers 3)
  • M-Cat
I think hasbro is getting tired of his ways anyway but they want one more huge payoff from it.
  • M-Cat
Honestly, We should all be hoping that bay screws it up because then they'll reboot it and bring in a new director like jj abrams, the wachowski brothers or James Cameron. Wishful thinking, I know.
  • conbot
I can't wait to hear all of you that hated T2 so much complain about how much you hate T3. It's really nonsense the personal vendetta you have against this franchise. If you like it, cool. If you don't, then just stop whining. No one is forcing anyone to watch.
  • tasouli
Another so soon probably means it will stink again and what will ultimately happen with this franchise? Reboot, just like all the other franchises out there. The first one was good, but the second one really had no point in it and just felt redundant. I mean why did they bring back Megatron? Shia also got brought back and Optimus and it all happened in one movie, sounds pretty ridiculous to me. I say eliminate what was bad about the 2nd with this one.
    1- Less action, more story
    2- Less Megan Fox
3- Less race to beat the clock type of moments
    4- Some deaths that stick
  • jordi
The script just got leaked, see below:

"Robots blow s*** up and Megan Fox takes a shower"

Wow, count me in Mike, that sounds amazing!!!...

...ly like the last one. Do me a favour and get a 10 year-old to help you write your movies because even they could see how much your they blow.

Out of interest, who noticed the "new characters with Hasbro" entry in that quote? New characters? Like maybe Optimus Plot or GrimmActing?
  • 790
    Thanks for the warning,,, :-)
  • Shamose
    @that guy
"2 was AMAZING" did we watch the same film?

anyways, all michael bay really has to do is translate the 86 transformers cartoon movie into live action EXACTLY how it is... and they will redeem the franchise

alternatively he could vomit up another revenge of the fallen and make a ton of money.

I weep for the children growing up with this as their transformers source material
  • "We have a great Transformers 3 story."

Michael, you don't get to make statements like this until you can demonstrate you understand what that means.
  • Will
Yeah, Vic you pretty much summed it up. Micheal bay really doesn't sound like a nice guy, as much as i enjoy his action he is a terrible director when it comes to actors. Also he pretty much just lost one of the biggest lures to his movie b ut i am soooo pleased by that because hopefully we will have more transformer eye candy rather then megan fox. Pleeeeeaaaassse michael bay, get your sh!t together for this one.
