There’s a Transformer in the Terminator Salvation trailer if ya can’t wait til next year…

greenknight333 says:

Liked the first film although it was very corny in parts and the dialogue was meidocre at best but the effects were awesome and I went to see it for giant transforming robots pounding the fenders off each other..not for it’s overall quality..let’s face it when we go to see a Michael Bay film it’s not for it’s intellectual prowess..it’s to watch stuff go bang!!

Rob Keyes says:

That’s true 790, he’s a decepticon.

greenknight333 says:

Subsidiaries…Vic are you holding out on us? :)

Rob Keyes says:

Vic! You make it sound like im the biggest fanboy of Transformers, lol. 6.5 out of 10!

greenknight333 said it:
You check your brains at the door with a Michael Bay film and pick ‘em up on the way out.

Save for John Turturro’s Jar Jar (needless pain-in-the-ass)character I thought Transformers kicked ass!

Too childish? Yes. Lame script? Yes.
Great FX? Yes! Great sound? Yes!
Megan Fox and Rachael Taylor? YES!

(It could have been worse, Lucas could have had a hand in it.)

790 says:

Transformers was one of those films that I watched one time and never want to see again.
(And yeah Turturro was Jar/Jar in that sector 7 crap)

Couldn’t careless for the sequel, I won’t even bother with it…

I get Terminator angst when I see MCG incorporating all these huge robots in T4,,, just needless eye candy to cover a craptaculistic script…
So hoping that it ruins McGonalds career… Grrr!!

Jess H. says:

Excited for the new movie. I didn’t enjoy the first movie a ton but it was still good, I just didn’t like the corny dialogue.

Charles Darwin says:

Well, if it the first movie “ranks” a firm 6.5 here, then it’s likely about a 4.5 I figure. I’ve seen the movie, and that would be about right.

Among the politically correct casting, the non-existent acting, the nonsense script, the shaky-cam idiocy, the gratuitous marketing sell-outs, the cornball dialogue, an obvious total ignorance or uncaring of the Transformers mythos, the scientific contradictions, etc……this Bay money-maker is lucky to even get up to a 4.5.

I’m not a “hater” either, I waited decades to see this movie, and this is what we got for a $155 million dollar price tag. I’ve spent thousands of bucks on Transformers original toys and the dvd shows and movies, so I do have a clue what I’m talking about. I’m not a hater, I’m a real fan.

OH WAIT….the basic special effects were good, and I liked them. That must be where that 4.5 came in.

greenknight333 says:

Geez 790..C’mon 790 don’t hold back…tell me what you really think!! ;)

790 says:

I was holding back…? ;-)

I only gave Tranformers 2.5/5 when I reviewed it:

Mike says:

I’m excited to see the sequel. We all have our complaints but I’m most interested in the special effects and the military aspect. Looking forward to the trailer.

Future Boy says:

It was kinda bleh the 1st time I watched it. Since then, I’ve seen it 3 more times…and just like Rob says in the article, it gets better and better every time you watch it!

Reason being is the final fight scenes: 1st time through its hard to figure out which Autobot is fighting which Decepticon. 2nd, 3rd, etc watching it and you’re more familiar with who is who, and the final fight scenes are much more enjoyable.
