Adding to the three Transformers 2 images released yesterday, even more images have made their way onto the internet of Michael Bay’s upcoming blockbuster sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
While the last batch was pretty ho-hum, this time they’re significantly more exciting and give a bit more insight about the film than the last. Oh, and did I mention there’s a new pic of Optimus Prime?

Maybe it’s just by chance but I find it a bit strange that hardly any of the images released from the movie depict much action – certainly not of the kind that plagued the first film. You would think they would advertise what they’re clearly selling: Explosions and giant robots beating the crap out of each other. But only the second photo of this set and the first one or two from the first set show much of the inevitable violence.
I personally really dig the first photo above; it’s managed to intrigue me as to what scene this may be a still image of. Sorry if my lack of knowledge about the history of the Transformers mythology lets me down here but I can’t help but wonder and be intrigued by what that light cylinder thing is in the middle of those shadowed guys; can anyone possibly enlighten me?

These photos make me feel better comparred to the last batch, and Optimus looks pretty bad@$$! But I do hope that it still has a lot of action. Now all we need is a robot fight pic. That would be the cherry on the cake!

i’m not sure what the first shot is but… the movie’s called rise of the fallen and there’s pyramids… my guess is they will find some old transformers that will turn out to be the fallen angels of the bible… could be interesting
If that first image is a still from the movie, it MIGHT be IMAX. I heard they’re using IMAX for the big set pieces. NICE!
I liked the first Transformers, but it had its moments of stupidity. I just hope the fight scenes are a little easier to follow. I feel Nolan listened to the criticism of the chaotic fight scenes from Batman Begins and corrected them in The Dark Knight.
Anyone else notice how overused those chaotic scenes are in movies the past few years? Even Disturbia had them at the end.

Hmmmm…..not seeing all the “exciting” pics……the one desert battle is cool, but one of guys walking through a room, one of people sitting on the side of a pyramid, and one of an Op Prime that looks nearly identical to his previous movie version just doesn’t do it for me.
Let’s get the crap out of the way, especially these overhyped pictures: we all want to see DEVASTATOR, not a stupid size comparison in an article. Oh wait….guess that would actually BE interesting then…..leave it up to Bay to overhype total mediocrity. I guess the overhype and promotion has officially begun.
I’m just throwing out some crazy ideas here, but that first pic looks like its some place that has some pretty futuristic tech. Maybe they find a fallen autobot/decepticon transport ship? Maybe they find some of the smaller transformers there, like Soundwave maybe? I’m just grasping at straws here, but I’m also intrigued by the photo.
I’ll agree that the “new” pic of Prime looks almost identical to the first version. The casual fan is not likely to notice the difference.
Its also far from exciting. I find it interesting, but not exciting. I want to see some pics of the transformers themselves! Curse you Michael Bay! Curse you! Give us Devastator!
That first pic, looks like there is a face inside whatever that centerpiece is… Could just be a coincidence…

Doesn’t it seem strange to everyone that Optimus Prime looks waaaaaaaaaaay too big for the truck that he is? Just look at the doors and windows.

The first pic looks like they may be introducing the ‘Ark’ – but not sure.
