I don't know about all over the country, but here in Ga, those 2 characters act like the average idiot on the street, regardless of race. I mean c'mon guys, the people applying the racial expectation to them seem to be playing off their own idea of stereotypes, or their own insecurities regarding them. What type of person do you have to be, to look at a green robot, and apply human ethnicity to them based on how they talk or act??? I mean thats like picking up the phone and guessing what race someone is on the other end of the line. It just doesn't make any sense. Its a sound... I mean there are plenty of things that affect the way a person sounds, size, gender, region, social upbringing, physical conditions (like a cold, a cleft palette, or even an oversized tongue) etc... but color never enters that equation. skid and mudflap may have been caricatures of something, even someone... but if anything, between the type of vehicles they were, the way they spoke, etc... I wouldn't apply anything but a social group to them. low intelligence youth pop culture... and that doesn't have a color limit. Sure they kind of reminded me of flava flav, but to jump to racial stereotyping... thats like standing up and saying "oh because he's black, all black dudes must act like that"... huh??? what kind of logic is that? if they reminded me of Bill and Ted, would that mean they sounded white (or whatever mix Keanu Reeves is)? how about the Hippy van in "cars"? Is he supposed to be some certain race? Cause I just thought the point was for him to be a hippy. If I had to group skid and mudflap as something the most likely word would be chavs... After seeing this movie I couldn't believe I made the mistake of watching it after making a resolution to not watch it...this coming from the after effects of Transformers 1. Of all places earth! and they need the help of a teenager boy to save their race - very good how intelligent. With that bad a plot the only reason I went to see the movie was to see some proper story some emotion and some good action. The only emotion was from Shia - he did a great job and the best job in the movie. Megan Fox was like a doll and her only role was to show off cleavage and act like a plastic doll - she actually had a porn star like look through out the movie with ton of make up and over emphasized lips. Action - what a mindless action. Robots killing each other with a knife, giving CPR to robots and the last scene where Optimus prime is revived - he starts coughing like a human - how much more cheesy can it get?
