zombieland cast The First Trailer For Zombieland Rocks!

The first official trailer for the comedy-horror zombie flick, Zombieland, is finally out and it looks fantastic!

The post-apocalyptic, zombie comedy stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and is directed by Ruben Fleischer.

The synopsis of the film goes something like this:

In the horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus is a big wuss — but when you’re afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying’ bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

If that’s not enough to get your interested, watch the trailer:

Wow! I’m sold. What a perfect role for Woody Harrelson.

I love the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy-type of narration to go along with the action and comedy scenes. The film looks beautiful and wildly entertaining. With a strong cast and good film style, this is something I’ll be looking out for this fall.

Also, rumor has it that there might be some big name cameos in the film. There’s reportedly been a scene shot with Billy Murray as a zombie for the movie and now there’s rumblings of a possible appearance by Matthew McConaughey – rumored to also play a zombie of course.

What do you think of the trailer and will you check this film out?

Zombieland hits theaters October 9 2009.

  1. This looks AWESOME. :-P

  2. Looks like Left 4 Dead

  3. Damn, can’t see this on this computer, will watch it when I get home. But it can’t be Left 4 Dead, they don’t have a black supermarket manager and an old Vietnam veteran… They got the other two though, lol.

  4. count me in. this has a very fun vibe to it that reminds me of Shaun of the Dead in some ways.

  5. I’d be interested in seeing what type of people would end up surviving a zombie apocalypse, lol. Something tells me the government that comes in to fill the void will be full of crazy people, haha.

  6. Lol, that looks pretty funny. That purell scene was pretty funny because even the “though guy” didn’t have a smart remark about it and wanted some, lol.

  7. This might just be the first “fast zombies” film i enjoy :)

  8. Looks excellent, love a good horror comedy, as for McConaughey , doesnt he always play a zombie?

  12. I don’t think I’d better have anything to eat or drink during this movie; I might spit it out onto the people in front of me. :-)

    Looks hilarious!

  13. You know, everything I’ve ready about this film up to this point has just left me going, “Yeah, whatever…” After seeing this… I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it. This looks hilarious. Hope it can deliver what the trailer promises.
