  1. isnt the rumor vin diesel is going to play vision because he tweeted a picture of vision? Also not sure how coulsen would be vision since ant man doesnt know coulsen so how would ultron pick him? seems random but whatever. im still deciding if i like the idea of coulsen returning because hes awesome but his death was a huge part of the film.

  2. I don’t understand all the ideas (from supposed fans) about Clark Gregg’s Coulson becoming the Vision.
That would be so far from the source material, it might as well be an idea Fox would come up with!

  3. Yes Corey and Avenger, you are both right in that using Coulson is way off base from the source material. I really think it stems from the fans of the MMU not wanting to let go of Coulson and the “grounded fan boy” that he represents. Their own “person in the room” with whom they can relate.

Is it canon? No. Would I mind Coulson returning as Vision? No.

With as little as the general public knows about the MCU and what is canon making a change to the MMU would not be overly detrimental to the MMU. Except of course for the diehards who will ONLY accept a litteral translation from the MCU to the MMU.

Oh. And I thought the Inception and Tron posters were pretty sweet.

    • I’m not really TOO hung up on source material accuracy (although I can’t deny that it isn’t important to me), I’m more hung up about having Coulson return. His death was a big part of The Avengers and basically the reason they put their differences aside. Bringing him back would cheapen the whole movie IMO.

Anyway, just for future reference, when saying “MCU” people might think you’re talking about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the official title of the movie universe).
When referring to the comics universe, it’s best to refer to it as the 616 or the MarvelU instead of the MCU… just to avoid confusion.

      • I would be the first to admit that none of this is canon (including Coulson himself) but at this point to get Vision what are we to do? They aren’t going to be using Pym as Ant-Man so even if they do have him play the old scientist, he can’t be Ultron’s focus of hatred (which ruins that dynamic).

So they are going to be bending and in some cases breaking canon pretty hard to a** jam Ultron into a movie by probably having Iron Man via Stark Industries be his perceived Nemesis. /sigh. Just what IM needs, ANOTHER villain hell bent on killing him.

The other problematic thing is Coulson did pretty much die. They didn’t put him on ice right after and I can’t imagine them being so forward thinking (or capable) about storing all agents memory engrams. That just sounds hokey to me. So the question becomes, why would Ultron even model his synthoid creation after a dead agent it knew nothing about and died well before it was even created.

I am so torn about this. I want Pym, Vision and Ultron but I don’t know if it’s worth the high price that has to be paid to make them work in this shared universe.

Someone really needs to go knock some sense into Wright, this is all his fault. ><

  4. Don’t do it Joss!

  5. i hope i am not the only one who has enough of too much mash-ups, there are some cool and funny ones, but a iconic-whatever you imagine thing should stay to his own source materials and not get mashed up with other iconic things.

  6. The Lightning McQueen picture. Not sure if I should laugh or be creeped out…

  7. That Darth Alien helmet was kind of disturbing.

And the Toy Story call me maybe video was pretty weak. I like the Obama one way more.

It’s cool that you put a Dog House Diaries comic in there though, my friends are the creators :-)

  8. After the Tony Stark reference to ‘Life Model Decoy’ in the Avengers movie, and knowing the fan support for Agent Coulsen, I could see him coming back into the films (like a cameo in Thor 2) as a LMD.

I would love to see his dry humor and extreme calmness in the films again!

  9. Those movie posters were amazing!

  10. A person necessarily lend a hand to make severely posts I’d state. That is the first time I frequented your website page and so far? I amazed with the research you made to make this actual publish extraordinary. Magnificent task!
