Disney/Pixar has just released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Toy Story 3, which continues the web exclusive character-centric trailers we’ve been seeing as of late. Previous examples include a Woody and Buzz trailer, one featuring Hamm and one featuring the neurotic Rex, but this latest treailer focuses on the loveable and clumsy Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.

Before we get to the trailer, here’s a reminder of the plot of Toy Story 3: Andy is now all grown up and moving off to college, leaving his toys to a terrible fate as playthings of a Day Care Center. Our favorite toys thus try and hatch a plan to escape back to their owner, before he leaves for college.

Now check out the latest character-centric trailer for Toy Story 3, featuring Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, courtesy of Cinemablend:

Great stuff. I seriously can’t wait to see Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and the rest of the Toy Story toys back on the big-screen. I remember being in awe of the first movie when I saw it in theaters (I was quite young then) and it remains one of my favorite films to this day. The sequel I didn’t actually see until years later, and although I didn’t find it better than the original as a lot of people did, I concede that Pixar managed to improve the animation.

Apart from maybe Christopher Nolan’s Inception, the third Toy Story is at the top of my most anticipated list for the rest of 2010, and it also made Screen Rant‘s top 20 list. Perhaps it’s just us, but somehow I don’t think so simple smile New Toy Story 3 Potato Head Trailer .

Toy Story 3 sees the return of many familiar voices from the previous two movies: Tom Hanks (Woody); Tim Allen (Buzz); Joan Cusack (Jessie); John Ratzenberger (Hamm); R. Lee Ermey (Sergeant); Wallace Shawn (Rex); and Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head).

However, the film also welcomes some new voices to the fold: Michael Keaton (playing Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken); Timothy Dalton (Mr. Pricklepants); Blake Clark (voicing Slinky Dog, replacing Jim Varney who passed away); Kristin Schaal; Whoopie Goldberg; Bonnie Hunt; and Jeff Garlin. Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 2, Monster’s Inc., Finding Nemo) is directing.

You can catch Toy Story 3 when it opens in theaters on June 18th, 2010.
