Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood made a splash in the land of the free when Starz premiered its miniseries Miracle Day on July 8th. To whet the appetites of the Harkness faithful and unenlightened geeks everywhere, Starz is putting on a Comic-Con panel today. If you aren’t lucky enough to be in San Diego, Screen Rant’s got you covered with a live blog.

The latest batch of Torchwood episodes centers around the titular Miracle Day event, wherein no one on the planet dies. This doesn’t mean that the entire population is immortal, just that they can’t die: people skill get hurt, get sick, they just don’t ever expire… with one notable exception.

The panel starts at 10:00 AM Pacific Time in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center. In attendance will be stars (and guests) John Barrowman (JB), Eve Myles (EM), Bill Pullman (BP), Mekhi Phifer (MP), Alexa Havins (AH), Lauren Ambrose (LA) and writer Jane Espenson (JE). Keep an eye on the section below for the latest updates.

  1. Will we ever see Captin Jack back on Dr who???

    • Both actors say they want it to happen, and it looks like there’s definitely something converging on the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

  2. fingers crossed then or even if the doctor crossed over in to Torchwood. Think they missed an opening when the Dr was getting his army together were was Jack then??

  3. I hope Starz don’t put anymore homosexual sex in this show. In fact, they can just leave out sex altogether and just have a show about Torchwood.

  4. The show looked interesting and had a lot of potential. I was out of town and programmed my DVR to record the next episode. This was the episode that I was to judge whether or not the show had potential and if I would be come a permanent fan. The mystery of Torchwood is compelling, however, the gay episode turned me completely off. If I want to watch gay porn I will rent it. I will be taking it off my DVR program list. This is one show that seems to be promoting the demoralization of our society. It is still a choice or should be whether or not this is my cup of tea and because of that one episode it’s not.

    • I will give it one more chance. If they show more of that, it will be deleted from my DVR as well.

  5. I love Torchwood but I will not watch it any longer if I have to be subjected to any more gay porn. It I wanted to watch gay porn ( I don’t), I would rent it (I won’t). We all know that Captain Jack swings both ways but I do not want to see that crap any more. We don not need to see any sex at all. Whatever happened to leaving something to the imagination. Great way to ruin a good show.
