  1. Watch Mojo actually started their Top 10 movies by decade with the 1920s. In the four videos you didn’t mention there are some pretty interesting movies I’ve never heard of before or that I considered watching but forgot never got around to and forgot about. I get that most of your fan base was born after the 1960s but does that necessarily mean they don’t have an interest in movies before then. Even a mention of those other four videos would have been nice to let people know they are out there if they were interested.

    • They featured the previous videos in last week’s geek pics dude.

      • Oops. My bad.

        • No worries man. It was an honest mistake.

I also found a lot of movies in the earlier decade top 10 lists that I wanna see. I need to sit down and watch Gone With The Wind for example. I was surprised that I’ve already seen most of the 50s movies they mentioned.

  2. Wow… That Gearing Up video was epic!! One of my all time favourite scores too!

  3. The dark knight in the top 10 best movies of all time?
What happened with watchmojo? I used to respect their lists…

    • They’ve posted a few vids about how they do their lists. Their suggestion tool is where they get 90% or more of their ideas for lists. The placement of films (or actors or whatever) on the lists is based off votes from users on their website and some input from watchmojo staff.

As you would suspect, there are loads of TDK fans out there in the world, which is why I believe the movie took the top spot for the 2000s list and why it placed so high on the all time list. I love TDK (got the steelbook bluray several months back) but I wouldn’t say that its better than The Departed or There Will Be Blood.

      • Plus if you ignore the hype the movie got in the mainstream when Heath died and the brilliant Joker portrayal he gave, the movie isn’t really that good. Batman Begins was the best movie of that trilogy for all round Batman-y goodness.

  4. God, I miss the 80s. I used to watch all of those movies on VHS.

I miss the 8 track cassette & the Walkman.

  5. Pulp Fiction as the number 1 movie of the 90′s?? Um… Ok…

    • I imagine the people who voted that hadn’t seen the movie in a long time. Even Time Cop was better, though not by much. It was the last great Tarantino movie though so you have to give it some credit at least.
